Yes, several people have claimed thay have or have had proof. And yet none of them have been able to produce such evidence. The only screenie we saw was of first a text edited file, then an AIM window. Sure, that "evidence" appears to be Cliche asking for a game that could be considered boosting. But there has yet to be any evidence shown that shows Cliche boosting his account.

As long as peopel are unable to provide any kind of proof then all they are doing is slandering Cliche with cheap shots.

"Well, i had proof but blah blah blah." While they are at it, why not claim they have proof that Kennedy was killed by space alienS? If someone DID have proof of this, then they should have already submitted it to the mods, not sat there until it got magically erased.

On the contrary, if everyone knew Cliche didn't boost, this thread would not have been made and there would not be people who still think he boosted. I for one, still think he boosted at least "some" stats on his road to 1800. I also know that he is a respected player and a good player at that and will not get deleted despite the fact that "some" of his stats were not gained fairly.

Cliche isn't a booster. Him and I are buddies, and he's a truthful, honest friend. He wouldn't do something like that. Also, send the screenshot(s) to Lonely Tylenol, he's a mod. I'm guessing this is just your way of asking to be banned, due to the vulgar language.

As I AM a moderator, albeit an extremely inactive and incompetent one, I have to investigate claims of cheating like this.

Rico Suave (AKA FreshEvaus) claims to have proof. You have one chance to revoke that claim before your account is put on the line based on the proof you present. If you can't prove Cliche cheated, it's on you.

You should just ignore their rank and move all legit players up one rank (in your mind). If you care about these people, then you must be a stat whore yourself, hence jealous of them. As for me, right now I am undecided of whether Cliche is really a booster (as I am fond of both Cliche and Fresh), but now this raises an important question: how many people in the top ten ranking on each server are really legit anymore? I strongly suggest an addition to this game that would prevent this stat-boosting, then followed by a stat reset of all players. The true former top rankers would not complain becuase they could always reach their previous rank, due to their experience. I think that would help us to see who the real players are.

why should we be jealous? it is simply annoying that someone can boost so easily without punishment. cliche doesnt boost, but dape and OG due and its silly that the system is so manipulatable. tao simply doesnt have a way to catch boosters, such as a game log which persists for a week or less.

just because you value the stat system doesnt make you a stat whore. a stat whore is someone who limits games for stats, boosts, scams or does something like that. just because someone doesnt play a 700 gold becuase they are 700 doesnt mean they are a stat whore and neither does caring about whether someone boosts. if people did not care, there would be all boosters. every 100 slot would b filled with 1700 boosters. as for moving up legit players, you dont know the stats of the 2-10 people that woudl be raned if not for boosters and some people arent as grasping as boosters like dape and OG.

perhaps we shouldnt care about sports? who cares about playoffs since we can say that a certain team is better if it doesnt win?

its not that people are obsessed, its that it is fun to gain stats and ranks and

Ok, here is a comparative for you:

You just took your SAT's, and applied for a college. Now you did alright with your score, nothing to be ashamed of.
But one of the kids in your school did AMAZING on his SATs. But you know this kid, and while he is no dumbass, there is no way he got a legit score so high. Now, up to now this just kinda irks you. You know he cheated, but what the hell, it doesn;t affect you anyways.....

But wait. Didn;t I mention you applied to a college? Well, so did Sir Cheatsalot. And because his SAT's were so much better than yours, he just got the last available slot.

Guess you'll just have to go to Tech School this year......



Now Stats are not SATs. But they are used in a similar way. People use these relative scores to judge how good of a student/player the average person is. And yes, people assume things, like low stats = sucky player, high stats = awesome player.

Now what you seem to be purposefully blinded to here is that Dape IS a stat whore, and while there has never been enough concrete evidence of him cheating, enough people have seen it in bits in pieces to know it's true.
But TAo tries and be a fair place, and the Mods rarely take action against someone without having some proof at hand. So (except for the tricking the mods thing) Dape will continue boosting and cheating until someone finally catches him.
