Her body was found minutes ago in a corn field. Her co-worker and leading suspect is a 51 yr old male who spent 20 yrs in prison for killing his brother. Its so scray because you never think it will happen anywhere near you. This is an eye opener for me.

Sad. Really sad.
What is worse, is this sort of thing cant be predicted and in most cases , is unpreventable. If I (dont worry, this is speculative at best) decided to get up now, grab a henkels butcher knife from my kitchen, and slive my boyfriend into tiny pieces...no one would be able to stop me.
It's weird how many people snap...it raises interesting questions about society.

convicted murders should not run the streets freely, especially allowed to work with teens. that is wrong.

Well, you cant assume ALL of them are gonna resume their waays. Many redeem themselves. However, I agree that you don't feed fuel to the fire. Much like putting a pedophile in charge of a scout troop.

Too bad they don't execute people anymore. Why do they suspect its him anyway, no real proof right?>

the thing about the girl sucks..really..but you can't say that.many convicted murderers committed the act in self defense..or in an act of insanity..and not all of them have anything especially negative about them towards children..so you can't just flat out rule that they can't work with teens..
i know this is a fictional movie, but it's an example that jumped into my mind.have you seen the movie con air?he killed a man and was put in prison for it..but in a situation like that, do you believe he should never be able to be released to the public?

exactly my point, zander. And in Con Air, I forget the character.....the guy that was O'brien in star trek..heh....he believed ALL murderers were bad men. Period. A bad stance to take. Kill a man proteting your wife from rape. Thats a GOOD thing.

this is going to sound bitter and jaded, but it's actually sincere:
I'm sorry for your loss - I'm sorry you had to actually see what this world can be.

That's truly messed up. I can understand how freaked out you must've felt hearing that the girl was not too far away from you. However, it probably won't happen to you. Most murders have at least something to back them up, even if the victim is random.

Yeah I heard that is morning too 007, (I'm in the South Suburbs of Chicago) It was big news last night and this morning. It scares me to think even when you think you could possible be ok.. not even a 100% safe.. just OK.. you get to see convicted killers doing what they know.
After 20 years in prision how do you think anyone can honestly reform? The longer in prision the worse I say for a crimnial. The more exposure to the evils that lie within man's mind, the more acceptable doing things illegal becomes. It's a shame a 16 year old with what would same her whole life ahead of her was ended because of poor judgement in our legal system. Good to see America is working so much harder on keeping our streets safe. -.-

ANY 51 year old guy wanting to be a dishwasher should be rejected.

like i said...i know it's a fictional movie, but it's an example of things that do happen in real life.it was merely an example of someone who killed another man to protect his family, which is something that does happen in day to day real life
