For Windows 2000/ME/XPm

Software for Macintosh OSes and Linux coming soon.

The following is a list of programs which, if used and updated regularly, will ensure that all of the junkware stays off of your system. With the exception of SPF, you should see no difference in system performance, other than that you should be running much cleaner.

SpywareBlaster - a program which plants kill bits in your registry to fool malware into thinking it is already installed.

SpywareGuard - guards against homepage changes and insidious replacement of familiar programs with malware substitutes. Runs in your systray as SG.

Both of the above programs usually require the installation of the "missingfiles.exe" and "VBrun6sp5.exe" found at the bottom of either link before they can properly install - again, no harm to Windows here.

For users of Internet Explorer, the Google Toobar is pretty handy at blocking pop-ups and has some other nice features.

AVG Anti-virus is an excellent free Anti-Virus.

Spybot S&D searches your system for all sorts of junk associated with the installation of software. Entries marked in red should be removed - if this causes a problem with a program there is a restore function for removed entries.

Adaware is another system scanner - used in conjunction with Spybot you'll easily keep your system free of nearly all malware.

Lastly, for those of you who really want to keep clean and safe, Sygate Personal Firewall is an easy to use, rules based firewall which alerts you when anything tries to connect to or from your computer. Anyone using a broadband connection should be using a firewall, otherwise trojans and virii can d/l and install before you even know it.

All of these require initial updating, as well as weekly updates to remain current with the newest junk floating around out there. If used as instructed, you'll spend far less time worrying about getting rid of something and more time surfing safely.

Internet Browsers

Mozilla Firefox - witch I have a much better alternative to Internet Explorer for browsing the net, with a built-in pop-up blocker and better security.

Opera - another popular alternative to Internet Explorer.

I would apreciate it if you guys help, me check if I spelld anything wrong ~Mr. LeGenD

Yep, he stole it from here (http://vb.lordsoflegend.com/showthread.php?p=1485). Someone with such low IQ as him could never type out all of that..
