I'm up for making a grey, freestyle and turtle game in round 3, unless any of the leaders or other players have any great objection. It puts one of us and one of them out of their comfort zone, so I don't see why anyone would be against it. We can then do all freestyle from there since there won't be 3 players left on one (read: AL's) team in round 4.

Well, since the remaining people have differing styles, I would say that the remaining games are default freestyle unless the two opponents agree to a different kind of style.

All in all it was a good game. Wasn't as intense as I was dreading the pass few days :bigsmile: Well glad its over and glad I was able to kinda give you a run for you money with a few lucky blocks I had. But I do wonder what would of happened to the rest of the game if I gamble that assassin bomb and didn't do a few moves that was useless.

So yeah Bottle I want a rematch after my finals that is.

Would of been cool though if I had won. An unknown player beating one of the best in greys in the first war for NJ. Oh well.

If you'd got your assassin bomb primed, you would have needed a 4th assassin side block at 35% and you would have only had the choice between knight or LW. That's why you didn't do it.

If you didn't find the game intense, you weren't concentrating hard enough. :p

I defeat TripleSeven by 5 units.

The game had some truely insane blocking. Notably, my knights simply could NOT block an attack. Front hits with no modifier, side hits with +60 several times, the lot. As you know, I keep a spreasheet of blocking in my games; when I checked the stats afterwards my only blocks were at 81.5% and 41.5%, and I missed 6/6 side blocks at 40% and 3/4 side blocks in the turns immediately following when they had between +43 and +63. In contrast, her assassin side blocked with no modifier THREE TIMES (damned thing blocked when on 9 HP almost allowing her to set up the bomb, and I had to attack her scout to force her to heal her 21 HP assassin instead of getting it reduced to 2 HP by her own knight) and in the end I had to kill it with witch and LW just to be sure I'd hit. Her knights were on steroids too. Fortunately she had no mage blocks or scout side blocks, because if she had I'd have been in REAL trouble.

On my side, I had two witch front blocks (one of which happened after the game was over though), and a scout side block which really came in handy since her assassin had side blocked the turn before and was about to put me under some real pressure.

But other than that, it was a humdinger of a battle, lasting nearly an hour. She chose a no-chanty setup (novel idea), I used my standard turtle with a minor tweak of positioning, and we had opp sides as I had hoped. Initially my knight-and-assassin charge was foiled by her assassin's crazy blocking and my assassin's inability to, resulting in me taking out witch and pyro for my assassin and knight, and having the chance to kill her assassin for the first time (the second side block saved her). We then played tit for tat for a while, managing damage well on both sides by keeping it spread around, although I managed to focus my attacks a little better and forced her back on the defensive. Her ninja-assassin then got her third block and attacked my 35HP scout, which blocked, meaning I got the assassin for no exchange and from there I was fully on top. I forced all her knights back and got my scout attack on her cleric with no way for her to kill the scout in time. My scout front blocked, which helped, and my knight's proximity to her BW meant she couldn't save the cleric unless she pinned all her units. She chose not to and we exchanged scout for cleric, leaving my witch and 2 knights to clean up the remaining 3 injured knights and scout, which I (finally) managed to do despite my knights deciding to leave their shields at home still.

In the screenshot, my knight is on 27 HP and hers is on 15.

Triple played very well, and if she'd blocked a mage side shot on either witch or pyro I would have been a unit down at the start and may not have been able to come back from it.

I didn't noticed her block percentage. Actually I never pay attention to the percentage at times so when you were able to say i got hits at 60% I was like "really? didnt know that"

It was intense dont get me wrong I would kinda say it was one hard of a game. At some points in the game I had no clue what moves I should be doing. But like I said was not as bad as I thought it would be like the idea of me getting flawless ;). You can say I wasn't concentrating hard enough though...Which I should have I might have done better...I usually never talk during my games tend to zone out abit :p

When I find time I'll look for you on Legends.

Oh about my no chantie set it might be new to you but my sets usually never involves her. The only time I use the chantie is when I use default.

When the war was going to start I was barely back from a few months away from tao. It was like one or two days after my return I heard about this war. Most people never heard of me before Terps :P Im practically unknown even most of my clan-mates had never heard of me. Also even my teammates *except for a few of the old membs that knows me* in this war doubted my abilities and didn't want me in the war. Most of them wanted Jojo in the spot I was playing, but Bax kept me in. I was the underdog in this war to go against NJ and to my own team. I felt pressure to prove myself... didn't do so well though as I had hope... but now I'm out of the 3rd round. Probably be good for me. That game with bottle, waiting for it was a dread, read the posts "oh bottle is going to win, hes the best of the best" etc. and it didnt help that the last of the games I played to get ready for this game I kept on losing or got d/c but yeah same thing.

Anyway enough about my low confidences and whatnot, its over and done with. My part in this war is over. I'm free from this stress now gotta move on to the next stress in my life. lol

So Good Luck to the rest of you guys that are left and lets have a great 3rd round.

You were never going to get flawlessed because my playing style is to win all the time rather than humiliate 10% of ther time and lose the other 90%. Generally I win grey games by 5-7 units, so you certainly did well to get what you did.

I'll be interested to see who ends up playing which style in the next round... the great thing is that none of our players have any weaknesses in any style now (except maybe my rustiness in turtle and allstar's grey play), so we can pretty much place anyone wherever we like...

Me being flawless was just an extreme example. I havnet gotten flawless in awhile. I never played you so didnt know your style so didnt know what i was going to get during the game so was just nerves unlike hatchet's game where I had play him a couple of times. I have beaten decent players without the help of the chantie so I tend to not use her. She is quite helpful in my default games tho was able to get to 1300 with it so not bad. I just have to somehow fit her into my set. :)

But since our game was played when I barely got into tao I wasnt a good player and right now im half decent so we'll see how i do vs you when we play again ;) I still have to play some people on here before I take a break from tao again. It's now 8 vs. 4, so 4 of the 8 are chosen to play the 4 netjak players. Say netjak win this round 3-1. Netjak then has 3 players left, and AL has 1 plus the 4 that sat out. So it's then 5 vs. 3. 3 of the 5 remaining ALers are chosen to play the 3 remaining netjak players. Say netjak win 2-1, then it's 3 ALers vs. 2 NJers, etc. This continues until all players from one team are beaten.

Several made a big deal out of luck (though some took it well, like El Cid), and saying that is the only reason they lost. Fine, and the ALers admitted that. But they didn't rub it in your guys' faces when they won.. whereas had netjak won 8-4, I can gaurantee 12 would have said something along the lines of "You know you shouldn't have started this war with us when we're beating you down this badly." I probably exaggerate, but I'm pretty damn sure I'd have seen some of those comments.

Second of all, Firebrand has been in NJ thread both here and Legends talking trash, mentioning the score and his wins as if we don't know it. Rubbing it quite a bit in our faces. I don't care, because I'm like, "Whoever lasts laugh, laughs best".

Third of all, please don't say what I would or would not have said. You'll never find a post outside of the Netcave where I predicted a score. As a matter of fact, I only admitted after the score what my prediction was, admitted that I was wrong. Hence, I would have had the right to admit if I was right as well. I'm not going to be giving my judgements concerning this war until it's over.

The tone of this thread has been relatively calm compared to the prior, and indeed Mantis is someone involved with the war still talking trash. Let him. Let Bottle respond. But can people not involved be quiet and not stir the pot? That would be cool.

I'm wondering the same thing. Mushroom was on the forums an hour ago. As I've sent our lineup to her, I can only assume that Bax still hasn't sent in his. But we need to move on this, since we Netjakkers have a somewhat important December 18th date.
