Project "Armageddon Cleanup"

I'm sure everyone would like this server to be cleaned up, well I'm willing to put forth some energy to do it. There are a few ways we can all help make Armageddon a better server but it won't happen over night.

I propose we put a team together that helps keep Armageddon clean and nub free as best possible. (Or if enough respectable players take intrest in helping we just do that.) But I'd like to make an organization like... "A.T.F." "Armageddon Task Force", something pimp like that. :keepord:

A few bad seeds are grey jumpers, most people look down on them. So lets try and push them out of our server! By teaming together and constantly stat raping them and making them social out casts we can essentialy rid them from Armageddon. (Although they will never be 100% gone)

Then there are people who boost their stats. Players who feel the need to cheat at an online game because they can't succeed in life. (Mostly only Golds will be listed because its pointless to get a grey account deleted/banned due to the fact its easy to just make a new grey evertime.)

Armageddon is considered the "nub" server, that crap server with poorly skilled players. Well lets turn it around and make Armageddon a respected and powerful server. There is no need for Armageddon to be trash, not with a server name like that.

Depends on how you "bully" them. You can always get your point across without being a jerk. There are ways to get them without really breaking any rules. Aslong as you're not swearing, being racist, or sexest towards them. If you're only tryin to get games from them I can't see a problem with that. If getting back at grey jumpers was against the rules the clan "Gold Jumpers" wouldn't have been created...

I agree with the stat boosters comment. And yes grey jumpers have a right to be there, but other players have the right to try and limit the ammount of them there are. Again, its exactly what the clan Gold Jumpers were doing on Great Lakes and I beleive Banff. I know that they will never be gone for good, but it can be a start to help turn Armageddon around.

I still don't think that you will get banned for attempting to stop grey jumpers. Aslong as its within reasonable actions. As I said swearing and what not will obviously not be tolerated. I think I'll take my chances though. :-\ Thanks for the heads up.

I'm just wondering at what thought to the practicality of making a physical "list," since it's never worked when it's been attempted in the past (by smarter and more organized people than yourselves...no offense). Army is not as bad as ANYONE makes it out to be. The main problem is people perpetuating the idea that it is, usually people who do not play there, or even play tao beyond the occasional game on rev. No list of people who "break" unwritten rules will change any negative things on Army. Unless you are a newb yourself...its obvious to you who would be on the list anyway.

Wether most of you like it or not, greyjumpers pay to play tao just as we do, and they have the right to play it anyway they want. They dont have to comply with standards of anyone but tao. They are going to play the game how they want to regardless of what you or anyone else says. Argueing with them and harrassing them will not help the situation, and more than likely will just make it worse. By allowing them to play and enjoy it they are more likely to get better and come around to playing better competition in the long run. They are part of tao just as much as we are, so helping them out for more competition overall is the better choice than "pushing them out".

Good luck cleaning up Army it's not going to happen. It's not going to happen on any server. The best we are going to get is more mods and the chat filter. There will always be people who cyber, swear, spam, and etc. If you boot them and they know it bothers you the more they will come back. Yes, I have become a good player from army, but it doesn't produce the best and it does not produce much...most of the best players, or players in the 1500+, on army are from either other servers, legends, or played for more than a year...or just learn super fast like dragonknight....I still say i'm in between of bad and good:) but you are right that army won't be able to become better and the other servers will also have cyberer, spammer, and boosters too......;)

Enough of this crap, they pay just as much as you do to play this game. Even though we do not agree the way they choose to play the game, it is out of our league to do anything about it. Now lets end these pointless threads.

I have read crap like this for way too long...The myth of this server being inferior or that server being superior to any other is just that...a myth which is perpetuated by crap posts like this one.

When you consider that your games are played on a one on one basis and that you choose who you play or who you do not play...and well then you can fill in the blanks from there. If you think a server is inferior then pick better players to play.

A good server starts with individuals who are proud to play where ever and when ever without the bullcrap posts about how poor a particular server is as a whole and without the bullshit holyier than thou attitude. ;)
