no.... it shouldn't be like whoever has the most money gets the most wins. It should be about tactics.

But they can have a limit like every month they can get a new unit sure it would be annoying but the people would have to create a new strategy when they get the new unit and where would te shop be?

Maybe you can buy certain units and not with money but with wins. Possibly...
Knight: 100wins
Archer: 70 wins
Assasin: 50 wins
Golems: 100 wins
not good numbers i know but eh...

Nah, the problem with giving out more units for more wins in a linear, predictable pattern is that then you reward veterancy. Right now, a skilled n00b can take out a crappy veteran. And that's how it should stay.
This game should stay as close to pure tactics as possible. Stuff like giving away more units for playing longer would add the element of veterancy. Frankly, the only reason unit drops don't already violate this principle is that there aren't really any game-breaking units allowed (such as an extra Scout or a Stone Golem).

first off crappy veterans more than likely will not have that many wins..second off how do drops work..whoever is on when it goes down gets it..so the same way skilled people may not get the units that the people who have no life and can stay on 24 hours a day and get 5 drops..

How about you can trade in old units for new ones on a point system. A pyromancer could be worth something like 3 points each. Then you could trade 2 or 3 of them in for a dragonspeaker mage or something.

Actually...
You have to be in a match, AND you have to win the match to get the unit (and theres several units you can't get with drops that are available gold only). So someone who just sat in the lobby all day or a bad player who just played all day wouldn't get a bunch of units. It is largely based on timing (200+ games and i've only been in game for a drop 2 times, and only won 1 of those) but I can't think of a better system. It encourages you play more and to play better as it is.
