Hall of Shame - Cheaters caught in the act

I am making this thread to bring attention to people high in the rankings who made it there by cheating. It is my sincere hope that other would be cheaters will see this, and try to stay off the list.

The Accused so far:

tiiictock (see post on page 2 of this thread)

at about 7:00 PM PST I was in the banff lobby when I noticed a gold named gamemaster557 come in. I don't remember playing him, so I asked him to a game, but he had already entered a game. I watched 2 more times, with exactly the same results over the next few minutes. This got my curiosity going, so I found what floor he was playing on (floor 7 for anyone who cares). I decided to sit there and wait to try to jump in on him the next time he got on the board. After about 30 seconds passed, both gamemaster557 and his opponent disappeared. Not unusual for a gray to surrender immediately to a gold, so I still wasn't suspicious. Then, gamemaster557 appeared back in the lobby, so I got ready to jump him. At the exact same time gamemaster557 and the same opponent as before appeared on the same exact board on opposite sides. "Wow", thought I, "what a coincidence." I expected another 30 second match, and sure enough, in less than a minute both pieces were gone. Gamemaster557 appeared in the lobby again and I got ready to jump him. Amazingly enough, at the same exact time, on the same board, on opposite sides, gamemaster557 and the same opponent as the previous 2 matches appeared. Now I suddenly realized what I was witnessing. Out of curiosity I checked his opponents stats. Now, everyone who reads this, go and see this for yourself, the opponents name was loopyturna, and at the time of this writing, his stats were wins:3 draws: 1 losses:200. Now we're on to something... Whocould possibly play 204 games and win only 3? Your opponent will disconnect or leave and give you the win by default more than 1.5% (3/200) of the time! When I told gamemasta what I had seen him do, he admitted to "doing it about 10 times but all the rest of his wins were not cheated" (traabi was witness to this) Now, if this were true, that still leaves loopyturna with 190 losses out of 194 games. I don't think it would be an overassumption to say he has probably done this much much more than the 10 times he admits to, and is attempting to cheat all of us out of our rightful ranking. Not only that, but he masscarades as a decent player. Now, for the record, he did challenge me to a match, which I declined because I would have got a swear kick in mid game from talking to him.

Gamemaster557, I know I will never respect you as a player unless you message admin, have your stats reset, and never do this again. Until then, I look at you with the same contempt as I do some of the time assassins. I have seen some of them do the same thing, but I didn't record careful names or stats, so I can't name any names, yet...

HAHAHA, thats sad. So {filter}ing sad. I can't belive someone thinks that rank is THAT important to waste thier time CHEATING wins. Thats worse than 25% of the people who are ranked now by beating on noobs! (I low balled that figure, hehe)

His account should be reset (i almost said deleted but I'm in a good mood) and he should recive and email about getting a life.

Yeah Mike said the right word, sas just sad. Crap like this is totally uncool. These guys (and there are many of them) deserve a good smack on the head. If theres a way to ecploit something people will. I totally agree that they're stats be reset and I even agree that they should have their accounts deleted. Cause who knows if they have gotten drop units from such matches.

This crap just pisses me off. I mean we have an awsome game here and people ruin it cause they feel important if they're on the 100's list. Well you losers your there, I hope your proud, I got there with hard work and skill. You got there by cheating. How can thses guys play this game without feeling shame? I say blow these guys outa the water!!! Blow the account away, reste stast whatever. This extends to noob slayers aswell, along with golds who olnt fight greys. They're the guys giving the rest of us guys a bad name.

lol. Its funny that players cheat to get ranked. Then when they're there, they think that they're respected. I've played ranked guys and unranked guys. And most of the time, unranked players give me a better match than the ranked ones. Now I'm not going to list names or anything like that. People know who the cheaters are, and I don't think that greys who won't fight golds are cheats or cowards. They just want to face guys in their own league( even though we jump them when they're not paying attention:D ). I just say that you don't know how good a player is, until you face him/her. Until then, I'll have a fun time ruining people's records. HeHe.

he should definitely be reset..cuz more than likely if the other guy has that many losses then gamemaster must have gotten drops from those cheap ways..so he should lose those cuz they were gotten unfairly..but as far as rank goes..i think rogue_wolf is right..i have faced some people who were not on rank who gave me a much better challenge then some of the ranked guys..not to say the ranked guys arent good..but u can def tell who deserves to be ranked and who doesnt..there are some people who even though they are new..pick up the game quick and give a good challenge..where as there are people who have been playing for a while..consumed many wins to their record but still are unable to put up a decent match...many of the ranked people though do deserve to be there..and some are really great people and its fun to play against them...but i hate it when i play someone and when they start losing give me the press alt f4..or press f5..the best one yet was from TacticWarrior...**IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY IN BATTLE PRESS CTRL + W TO WIN A FREE WITCH!!**..that was by far the greatest of these..all the mean while we were in battle for a cleric =)..the chances of having two drops in one math..amazing..lol..it bugs me to see people who sink to this level where they cant except losing..i know im not the best at this game..and i personally dont think there is such a thing as being the best at this game..cuz there is always going to be someone who can beat u..and there will be another who can beat them..etc..

OK, I finally got names of another I have been watching for stat cheating. On Saturday Jan 24 at 8:20 PST Tiiic tock of the time assassins was playing himself as jason2. I don't know how many happened but I saw 3 in a row when I noticed and I got demonic god, ratcage and meletus to watch too, but they only saw 1 game before he quit. Floor 5, in the usual style, tiiic and jason2 immediately appeared on opposite sides of the same board and each game lasted about 10-15 seconds. After the third game, both jason2 and tiiic tock left the game and did not reenter the forum or a game. While I wish he had gone longer so more people could see multiple games besides me, I still feel tiiic qualifies for the hall of shame.

I think Tiic Toc qualifies for just about everything he's done around here.

Well Nads, i have witnessed a cheater too and i'm not sure his name but i waited till they came back online cause i wanted to do the same thing you were trying to do. jump into there game. and i did.... it was against the account that was the losing account and al they had on the field was a cleric in the middle of the field and a LW in the corner and thats it. they immediatly surrneder and never came back on after that! i couldn't believe that people think that by winning all these games makes them good! i'd like to see one of these cheaters take ona gold member and get their arse handed to them! sometimes i wish you could watch a match just to see what people are doing! i think that it would be nice to see what kind of setup some of the gold members are using. i'm a recent gold member, and i have little experience with the new units! is there a thread that anyone has posted with strategy for using new units?

Points you don't deserve. Cheating in general helps people who play more compared to people of more skill, because it makes it easier to get an increase in any specific game.

I know the part about encouraging cheating was a joke. Good players who aren't cheaters beating cheaters and taking their points is a real problem though.

Besides he does bring up a good point with his joke, they cheat to get points, players of talent take it away, cheaters never prosper.

We have this same problem on Legends Server, except it is much much bigger. The #1 player, Adamar, is an extremem cheater. His whole clan goes about the day raping grey accounts and giving themselves stat boosts. Then, at the end of the day they report to him and basically donate all their ranking points by doing marathon games with him. He'll kick them out of the clan then accept them back in a number of times. It's so pitiful to watch. Seed is looking into the matter currently, and I'm hoping that he will observe the truth of the matter.

I too, have seen people cheat like that. And I admit, even I (in a different screen name) have done somthing like that. I was the one surrendering that time. It was a memeber of my clan a while back (the tao adminastrators clan). There was a guy named Tama Drummer in my clan who wanted to raise his stats. I agreed so he gave me his password for another account of his and we did just that. I also have seen countless people trying to pull of the "press f5 and it will make the game go faster" trick. Although it only works on newbs, its still cheating. My friend also raised his stats by saying "hold down ctrl and press w to give your witches more power. He figured this out before most people did, thus raising his stats up to 944 (he says). He told me what he was doing at school so I made a plan. I started a new screen name and lowered the stats to about 500 (well if I want to tell the truth it was my friends screen name that WAS about at 500). I new, in a fair game i could beat my friend (his name is potato masher if you have seen him before). So in that screen na challenged him to a mactch, he didn't know it was me and he thought it would be a piece of cake defeating a 500'er). I won that game and towards the end were he was going to lose he was constintly trying to get me to press f5, f1 and all of that. I beat him and his stats lowered to about 900 (it turns out his states never WERE 940 anyway). 900 is a good rating for my friend because he good enough to get to 900. No one can hold them accountable or punish them. They were excellent clan mates of mine, and losing them is hard for clan. So hard, that Vengeance in Shadow fell apart. Cheating is cheating. Breaking the rules by manipulating the points is cheating, no matter what your intentions are or were.
As for the punishment meted out, while it may be viewed as harsh, it all comes down to the TOS everyone is responsible for.
I am sorry a big mess ended up with the game and forum losing some good people. But, I hope that will be a good warning for others who might want to do the same.
