The No Scout Turtle Tournament (NSTT): Rules and Sign up List

Everyone always makes their turtles to block off scouts LOS from cleric and stone Golem. What if their were no scouts? How would that change the way turtles are made? How would that change tactics and gameplay with turtles? Well, thats that's what this tourney is for. That, and to have a fun tourny to start the new year!

Rules:
1. NO SCOUTS ALLOWED. (Obviously)
2. Turtles must follow alpha rules. Heres (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22447&highlight=alpha+turtle+rules) a thread explaining what alpha rules are.
3. No DSM (DragonSpeaker Mage) or GA. (Golem Ambusher)
4. Only 1 of EACH drop unit plus the original unit is allowed.
5. It will be on Revelations server.

Signups end on December 31st and up to 16 people can sign up.

Then the game would have to be all muddy..no DSM, GA, and Scout...then yea...it will take forever.

Not really.

Then this gives the muddy a chance to be the dominate unit, if that goes then it's really tough to win since that unit causes the most multiple damage. Which, what Grey said it will cause alot of strategic play also.

It also gives a chance for you to bring in BR, BW and other units.

I think, it really matters whether we can use drops or not...Like double frost, (As Cliche stated) or double BR...stuff like that.

It is single elimination. I don't know about prizes I'll have to ask a mod/admin about that. Drops are allowed and It's not TAL.

I have 8 witches, and I'm probably not the only one. Therefore I have a problem with this rule. Maybe you should be more restrictive on stone positioning. I can also use my front row double beast riders, wisp, and mud, right? As long as stone golem catches 4 units?

I think you need to think about this some more.

are you stupid? if you allow drops and you can have 2 of each, bottle uses 3 frost golems and thus everyone is totally fucked. period. its bad enough that you allow only the beast and mud as focus breakers, but you also allow people to use multiple frost golems? let me play all my games on GL so i can use duel wisps, clerics, frosts. see if you allow gold drops, its all about who has more. give me standard gold units plus 2 frost drops and i will play with only 9 units.

Sorry, I worded that wrong. I meant that you can have up to 2 frostys or 2 beasties total, not the orignal one you have plus 2 drop ones.

Edit: I must've worded it wrong again. >.< You can use only one drop of each unit in your turt plus the original. That means you could have 2 clerics 2 frostys 2 beast riders, all in the same set. But you can't have 3 frostys, 3 beast riders, or 3 of any drop.

I was planning on using three frosts and two riders :D

Seriously though, there is still nothing preventing a same side bomb. I could line up dragon, dsm, pyro, two witches with a third row stone golem. If I get the right side, trust me, I won't need a scout.
