I am considering running a basketball themed team tourny, however, before i begin to get into my idea, i would need someone to help me co-host the tourny, in case i get grounded again.
There would be Four main sections to each team:
The Starters:
The Guard: the guard on the team would be playing free in their matches
The Forward: the forward on the team would be playing grey in their matches
The Center: the center on the team would be playing turt in their matches
The Bench:
Substitutes: the captain of the team, after the matches have been set up, can choose to substitute out one of his starters with a bench player, however, to keep the captains from just switching subs back and forth, each captain can have three substitutes during each round.
There will be 8 teams of 4 players each, however, if there are more than 32 signups, i will pick the most active players to play, so that this tourny can run smoothly.
There will be an East division and a West division.
There are a couple things i am having trouble deciding over and whatever the general consensus seems to be, is the way i will go
First of all, would everybody rather have a draft or would you guys rather pick your own teams?
Second, would you guys rather have a scoring system, where each team has to play the other teams, or would you guys rather have a best of three matches sort of thing, where each player would play there opposite three times, with the best of three moving on?
I am also looking for other suggestions/opinions of this tourny.
This tourny will not happen unless i feel there is strong support for it because i am sick of tournys where the tournament just dies due to inactivity from the players or the hosters.
