Every other time I start up TAO I get a "Floating Point Error." Its really weird. It doesn't affect my ability to play TAO, but it's a little annoying. Thoughts?

Thoughts?
Panda Express should sell fried rice that doesn't have peas and carrots in it, because it would save me quite a bit of time and frustration.

Have we learned our lesson here?

Sorry, I've already started eating my 2 foot baguette with 1/2 pounds of ham, 1/4 of salami, 1/4 of pepperoni. I'll be done in 5 minutes.

Maybe it's your browser? Or a obscure version of flash player might be it. I don't know, but I thought I'd contribute something more interesting than cheap chinese. :D

wow - that little exchange on food was very hilarious.

but yes, you need to be a bit more specific where you get this error. Is it like a normal looking window that says it? Or does the top of the error say something like MACROMEDIA ERROR? Describe it a bit more.

Generally tho: reinstall latest browser and flash version, restart your computer, clear internet files, etc etc and then play

No. I'm running mozilla firefox, the most recent version. I don't have anything in my cache (I have allotted 0 mb for data, however I still did just so you wouldn't say anything)

Flash was updated, and it didn't help

Submitting a screen shot of the error would help.

The "cache" isn't all of the private data I'm sure. You might not want to lose your browsing history, but there are a lot of silly places where you'd expect not to find internet files (like "cookies" and all that nonsense) but you actually do.

Why don't you just quote my suggestions for fixing things!

Cuz quoting Jeffery presents a more flavorful and explanatory post, without as much flaming. Plus, he's not as ugly as you, which is saying something, cuz he's pretty damn ugly :p

Well, fixed point is a small coding sequences in C++. Used to cut off a certain point.

for example : You're outputting 4.55555555 Fixed point would create a cutoff point after you assign it a number.

Not sure about other languages, I'm sure there are for it.Also I think TAO is written in Flash, and flash if I recall uses ActionScripting. It might just be the memory allocation for your computer. Some earlier dated computers have a smaller point system, like some may hold 50 digits while others hold 255. So the fixed point wrror might just mean the numbers exceed your computer's memory holding.
