Warcallers

These fearsome creatures were born to fight and are feared on the battlefield.They are a strong breed that focuses their battle prowess more on offense than defense. They still lose to knights because the knights have superior blocking, but they have a special ability that can prove invaluable on the battlefield!.

HP:52
POWER:20
ARMOR:20%
BLOCKING:45%
MOVEMENT:3
RECOVERY:1

Warcallers pack a nasty punch on their own, they wield dual swords and have decent enough armor/blocking to be considered a threat.

But their special is something to fear...in that case it is FEAR ITSELF!
The warcaller thrives on intimidation! it looks fierce and it's war call is just as nasty!

WARCALL
the warcaller can howl at few of the opponents unit 2 spaces away
the first square in front of warcaller is affected, as are the 3 squares after the first.
If an opponent is on one of those squares IT SUFFERS FEAR! and it's power is reduced by -3 and it's blocking by -30%, this effect lasts 2 turns and on the 3rd turn it gets reduced to -1 power, -10% blocking.

so it goes like this
warcall......1st turn -3 -30% blocking
2nd turn -2 power -20% blocking
3rd turn -1 power -10% blocking.

*NOTE EFFECT DOES NOT STACK*

Unit could be used to save a cleric from being sniped.
2 scout hits kill cleric/ even with heal!
with the warcall ability the scout cannot kill the cleric directly after a snipe!
say this scenario goes down

opponents scout walks into your formation and snipes the cleric (24-18=6) cleric heals and now sits at +18
You now attack scout with any unit within range (doesnt matter realy) and say scout is damaged -17
scout waits, now the WARCALLER aproaches scout and HOWLS! the scout now loses -3 power and 30% blocking! the scout can snipe the cleric but it will not be a fatal blow!.. now what does the opponent do? will he stick around? probably not.....in that case the cleric is still living and can live to heal and move.
while the scout is in a fight to survive!

Very good, but maybe a bit underpowered, but a tiny bit isn't so bad, good unit.

Stop right there. People need to stop comparing things to knights. Everyone seems to be doing it. There are more units than the knight! Ya know, thats why people go gold and whatnot.

You do realize that reducing it's power and blocking by -3 and -30% respectively means it adds both armor and blocking.


so it goes like this

Yea, this isn't much. Considering its ability will also affect friendly targets, It would be hard to use if you were trying to weaken a knight wall to attack through it.

Coder, your a fool.

This is one of the most balanced and good units that CAU has had in awhile. It is strong like a knight, but it's considerably lower blocking means frontals are much more effective and this unit cannot form as effective a wall, it also has the wonderful warcry ability making it most useful when a unit is about to exit recovery, as opposed to most other units, which work best when a unit is just entering recovery. That in itself makes it unique, and the ability to save units at all makes it a viable alternative to more conventional knights.

Personally I would have lowered the attack power and made the warcall ability innate to the attack, but it's your unit. Good job, I really like it.

Actualy Coder i was thinking of taking a sabbatical from CAU, but i would miss your nitpicking too much :D . j/k dude it's funny how you pick out the things i am too tired/ don't care to correct, like the reduce armor by -3 ect... good thing someone stayed in school.

But realy i am thinking of a sabbatical. So many other CAU and LEADERBOARD ledgends have moved on.Maybe i'll take a break also.

I think one more unit and i will take a break.
I may only come back until a new IN-GAME unit is created:D
