They wouldn't make money. Others would want one aswell.

The only time some one gets a free gold account is if they played for it and one it in a tournament. Or got sponsored.

i understand that it would cost you but what if it was only a trial period? that could give some one a taste of what a gold is like and maybe they would want to keep it and you would get even more money????? did you think of that?

yea.If it was free on holidays,Every year around that time they got it, it would happen again.Then it would be kinda boring and they would probraly go out of buziness and cant do this anymore
