View Full Version : Mod Challenging

Basically, if you want to play me on my mod account and I'm not super busy, PM me asking for the "codeword of the week."
When you ask for a game, just say that codeword.
I really dont want to play random people who just "want to see my mod units," and would rather play someone who will actually try.
Also keep in mind, my obligation is to the lobby and not to the game-playing, so if I say no, deal with it. But having the codeword with greatly increase your chances.
Also, if you AIM me or PM me and ask for a game, I will never play you ever, and if you whine about me not playing you or are currently causing problems, I will never play you ever. Your best chances for a game is asking with the codeword once (if I'm afk, ask again), and If I say no, accept it, and the chances fo me playing you next time will soar.
I will only play one "codeword" person per visit, per server and, as I've said, If I'm not busy.
Lastly, sometimes I may not just want to play a normal game with a DSM, because thats boring. Sometimes I set up weird things, which also require the other person to be down with adjusting some things to make the game interesting as well. If I ask you if you're willing, and I'm hoping the people who have this codeword will be willing to try, please consider it. If you would just prefer to play a normal mod game... you're boring, but I'll probably do it. Also keep in mind if you agree to something and dont do it, it's no skin off my back to just exit out of the game and never play you again (not to mention some individuals would count this as scamming).
That is all. You may feel free to post outcomes of our games or battle reports of them in this thread. And just so we're clear beforehand, I'm well aware that I will lose many of these! :)

That sounds pretty fun, but

What is a "normal" mod game?

"normal" meaning using standard Gold pieces, I think.
I wouldn't mind a crack at this.

No I think that was just me who popularized the 4 dragon 2 dsm 71 damage combo. Most of the other mods aren't as lame and cheap in setups ;)
but yeah, i agree with meat - it's kinda the (previously) unwritten rules of getting a mod game: begging means I will never play you. asking respectfully from time to time when i'm not busy increases your odds

*assassination* :O
TAKE THAT! :p
Seriously - the only 2-3 units that cause the 4drag 2dsm formation any really hassle are wisps, muddies and lws. Oh and an opposite side turtle.

I hate the "there always has to be a reward or purpose for me to do things" people. Just play the game. If you dont want to just play the game, dont.

why do mods get those awesome units and stuff if they hardly every play? on army and legends server, people beg for games but it naver happens. lately, I've been wanting a game with M_A_D..

Xerent was the first to popularize the 4 dragons 2 DSM's.
Mod forms are no good now due to the first turn wait. :(
And Match <3 I changed it to 2 drags, 2 DSM, 2 wisps and 2 scouts. 2 dragons and 2 dsms do exactly 40 damage to a scout ^_^. Also it helped for symmetry which is the cornerstone of any good mod setup.

2 DTs, 2 DSMs, 3 scouts, and a cleric for me usually when I had double golds.
Or I'd use dual stonies as a joke :p
A dual stoned DSM that hits an unstoned scout for 40 damage
Playing mods is always fun though. Monkus jumped me with a 5 knight form once and I just wisped the hell out of him and furgonned :p Can't remember the other 5, think he had 2 DSMs that I took care of quickly
Multiple beasties and furgons hurt too

An addition and footnote to meat.eater's conditions:
NEVER expect me to play with mod units.
I won't.
I play dropless grey on my mod account, the only exception being when I'm trying someone out or showing them a form.
[residual bitterness]
In fact, originally I had asked for my account to be left with a ranking (much like Teio), and given no gold or special units, so I could play to the top as dropless grey without worring about wipes, but so much for that... [/residual bitterness]

Mod forms are beatable.Yeah one time I used my 71 damage dsm on my own dragons, and then i could be beaten :p
why do mods get those awesome units and stuff if they hardly every play? on army and legends server, people beg for games but it naver happens. lately, I've been wanting a game with M_A_D..What is the point of seriously playing with them? We win every time - it's useless - it's no challenge. We get them to play with - they are toys to look at. It is not a serious endeavor.
We're not here to entertain you or play - we're here to moderate. When I play, it's always on a dropless grey account.

You could easily beat a mod set, If they use there 4 drag, Just put in a LW Stoned, and use 4 frosties on rev, Simple =)
4frosties,cleric/cleric, stoned-LW, and put a scout and wisp in the back. =)
I think that might work, I just threw it off the top of my head.

If You got first turn I could win.
I'd simply wisp your DSM (maybe two if you have a bad set :p)
Then I'd follow up with a dragon. From there i'd take out the second one, and taking out 4 drags is cake :p
