Connection refused... for months?

Does anyone know of a problem with comcast (I already get craptastic service from them on a regular basis) or did something change in ports or something?

It could be your internet connection, or you could be IP banned. For that matter, you could be trying to double screen. :\

I played on Great Lakes under Justkidding as well as Goforbroke. Can't sign in on any server on any name... and I couldn't sign in while at my parents' home either (same computer, different location).

Are you sure you created the account? It sounds like you have someone from the same IP playing at the same time, or you've been IP banned from TAO.

Or your internet is shit. What browser do you run?

A simpler explanation would be that TAO is racist. It simply dislikes your computer and refuses to let you play.

Either that or your computer is racist against TAO. It works both ways.

you're sure the error is CONNECTION REFUSED and not USERNAME/PASSWORD DOES NOT EXIST ?

Dude, the SAME thing is happening to me. I'm not sure if it's comcast, but I've tried many things to fix it.

If you're on Windows XP, try making a different User Account and then signing on. I had the same problem, checked with serg to see if I was banned, and I wasn't. Changed my IP anyway and it still didn't work. Tried signing in on my brother's user account and it worked fine.

I thought I was IP banned for quite some time as well..(I also use comcast), I guess comcast is one of those internet companies people talk about that rotate IP adresses?...you may've been handed a previously banned one

log of. And after 5 min couldn't log on GL anymore. Only GL

Though. I tried on my Brothers computer and it worked.

I'm having the exact same prob! Connection refused on all servers no matter what account, and I'm very sure that I've not been IP banned.

You know what I do whenever my IP address isn't responding properly with my computer (I get this with MSN) is I unplug the network cable, unplug the power (thus resetting all IP memory), then plug it in again. It re-reads the IP and basically resolves itself. :)
