If you've never heard, nor expected, a squee from byte...there it is.
13:30 until I get my hands on a copy, and I promise you my new Draeni Pally will be 40 by the end of the week.
I figured that despite the WoW threads, and the addiciton thread, that we had nothing here to celebrate the release of the expantion.
Silly east coasters will be getting their hands on the game several hours ahead of me...but considering how fat they all apparently are, they'll need that extra time to waddle to the store, back, then recover, before they can actually play the game.

Not too brag or anything, but I have my copy sitting in my hands . . . right now. One of my friends is a store manager at EB Games, and he gave me my 'free copy' (yes, you heard right) during lunch today. I won't play it, ever, because I'm getting it for another buddy of mine . . . in fact, I'll never play WOW. It's nothing against WOW, but I'd rather not get addicted to it, since I have zero time to play such things.
Have fun when it comes out, though. :)
Oh, and I'm not a fat East-Coaster!!!

"big boned" then, whatever
I'm actually not bitter about people who got it early, as I'm getting a free upgrade to the Collector's Edition for my patience :)

And congrats on the free upgrade. :)

Big-boned?
He thinks you have a big bone I guess.
That's why he insulted you, he's jealous.
Mega, an expansion is worthy of it's own thread.
Especially one as anticipated as this one.
What's the collectors edition, what extra features does it have?

My friend Zeratul started camping out for his pre-order yesterday  He's clams he's going to have the first copy to go over the EB game's counter.

in a few words..not much
I'm gonna like having the unuiqe vanity pet, netherwhelp, if nothing else though. There's also a chance of getting certain rare cards from the starter decks that will be usable to get additional rare pets in WoW, amongst other things.

Good thing I don't have to get off my fat ass to get a game that will just make me gargantuan.

Maybe you should become obsessed with DDR and dance your cares away.

I can promise you that from 12:30am Tues until...sometime Wednesday, I will be doing nothing else except playing.
I have a catheter, IV of coffe/soda to infuse myself with, and a min-fridge. Nothing shall stop my addictions.
edit: we'll see on the whole catheter thing, that stuff is rather uncomfortable

Bad move, tech gear is a touchy topic for me...
I'm just going to mock your pathetic joke at mocking one of my comps.
Don't forget my Gateway Dual Core notebook with the flip top for tablet usage, and my new'ish desktop ;)
Ooh, and if all else fails for the newest and truest stuff, I always have my work comp. That thing is ridiculously built up.
Beyond that, and back to my real point, believe it or not, I will game more often than not with my 2.5 year old HP notebook. I will also thouroughly beat down (and have on numerous occasions) any TAO'er who thinks the gear makes the man on ANY game (that I own) on said 2.5 year old machine :)
Nothing gives me greater pleasure than tearing apart someone who thinks the brand new 'puter their parents bought them will give them an edge. Gaming has been good to me and enabled me to make a decent living involving it in my life, I'd hate to think someone's gear ever gave them an edge and I'm always pleased to demonstrate otherwise.
*sighs* ah, that felt nice

bah, when's the last time anyone's ever been dropped or lagged from any game?
Except when I used Comcast for my ISP....but they don't count because they're comcast, and everyone gets lag from them.

My sister just had one, too!
They had pizza.
Oh, and I wanted to flaunt, so I made muffins! REAL MUFFINS! Those with tasty bottoms, flaky and delicious. I even put wrappers. Blueberry, strawberry, boisenberry - they were really good. The tops weren't the usual up-to-par, not enough sugar methinks. Oh, and they coulda used another egg white - added lightness. But all in all, buttery delicious muffins.
Yep...
..
*reads back over post*
Why does everything come back to muffins?
Does that make me nerdy? :(

This whole "burning crusade" buisness is really about homebaked goods... which makes me at least five times more nerdy than you. :p

My brother seriously called me over to the computer to see this.
On Hellscream (Horde side), there were 9 people online at the same time with a level 62 or higher:
http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/5879/wow1og3.jpg
And I proceeded to take a series of other screenshots on Hellscream (Horde) and Silvermoon (Alliance) of things I saw that seemed, well, just fecked up... And this is what I got:
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/9195/wow2cv1.jpg
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/1497/wow3xs9.jpg
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/8461/wow4mo3.jpg
http://img165.imageshack.us/img165/5674/wow5af9.jpg
http://img247.imageshack.us/img247/3945/wow6sa9.jpg
:swoon:
I took these at 1 PM, my time, which is 6 PM Eastern, which is 18 hours after they were officially released in stores at midnight.
Even I've played enough WoW to know that to get from 60 to 63 in 18 hours requires non-stop level-grinding, and even then it's a stretch, but that's not what really disturbs me...
Level 22 Draenei Shaman? Level 18 Blood Elf Paladins? In 18 hours' time?
And I didn't even go trolling the servers for worst-case scenarios. Hellscream's my brother's main server and Silvermoon's the server I used to play on with my brother's account.

Logged off tonight with a 20 Draeni Pally :)
tomorrow got some work...then back to the ol' grind ;)
I definitely saw a 64 Mage just a bit ago on Kil'Jaedan.
edit: I'd also like to comment on the pleased reaction to the smoothness of the xpac launching. Got my game and out of the store by 12:02, installed it up, used my on comp saved patches to re-patch the xpac once it was intalled, dl'd the 2.85mb update, and had no trouble making my draeni on my realm or playing him.
No lag, no muss, no fuss, it all worked. Kudos to them. I heard some stories of issues, but I have trouble believing most of them (too coincidental).
My only gripe is I can't get onto the WoW forums.
