Yep well if you didn't already know, today is Martin Luther King Day.
I spent my day off by going to see Stomp the Yard with my mom. There was a picture of Martin Luther King in the movie. I guess, that's honoring him.
What did you do today? Did it have anything to do with Martin Luther King Jr.?

I watched TV. And played twister with my wife. Twister is a fun game......
I went to the Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast at the Grove Park Inn Yesterday.

The dancing was cool. Being a white boy from da suburbs, i didn't get much out of it. Take away the use of the "n" word, and it could have been a Disney movie. It was that predictable.

"Making a day out of everything." Without days, what would we have? A day is a concept of time. Without time we, being humans, have no concept of a universe. So sorry us bloody americans like the universe! Sheesh.

Went to the gym, hung out with some buddies and killed them in some old-school bomberman
And had steak. Today was a good day, only thing to make it better would've been a date.

I had a DDR party. :\
But today we had a discussion in my history class about "If MLK were alive today, would he be proud of today's society?"
Most people said he would be proud of the freedom that eveyone has now, and no forced segregation. But he shouldn't be proud of the "cool" thing to be from the ghetto, dress in big clothes, and the rap music...some of it is just shameful. He'd also be disappointed in every single race for still having some prejudice.
That's basically what everyone said in a nutshell, and I'd just like to hear what everyone has to say before I state my own opinions. It could be a good discussion. :)

I think things would be a lot better if it wasn't brought up all the time. When you blame everything on race, that's only making things worse. And reverse-racism is bad as well.
