There may not be a specific rule about it, but it's a kickable offense, as multiple mods have confirmed for me.

powza- I don't think he's a booster, he's just one of those golds that gets all his stats "fishing" greys, and doesn't accept challenges from greys.He's turned me down multiple times on multiple accounts.

Powza was looking around for a grey game, and mau said "yeah, sure" Or something along those lines and challenged Powza.

Then, upon speaking with powza in clan, it seemed that m@u had a gold turtle.

I saw him agree, and think that this sort of behavior, while not expressly against the rules, should not be tolerated.

I believe it was uniq that pointed out something that thsi could be considered in the rules.

I'll find it in a minute. It was something like doing something to gain an unfair advantage or something >_>

Wow, I never thought m@u would do such a thing. Then again, he may not have understood powza's question, as he is from a country where English is not the primary language.

With that said, I understand powza's frustration. And I wholly agree this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated. However, I'm relatively sure you can't be deleted for this kind of action, especially without screenshots of the incident. (I'm assuming you don't have any, as they haven't been shown...)

I believe, at least to my perspective, that Powza had placed a mistaken judgment upon the M@U's personality. I have talked and played him on several occassions despite his quiet disposition. No way would I believe that M@U to be type of person Powza claimed him to be.

If you don't know him, you would probably follow Powza's claim that M@U used a turt setup in predestined gray game to gain an upper hand. As a player who has played couple games with him in the past, I know for a fact that assertion is false. He uses and will only use turt setup no matter what game he plays. So what does it mean? M@u wasn't trying to trick Powza or anything. He was just using his usual turt setup to play a gold who asked him for a game. UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, he expects, at least I believe, that a gold will use gold units. Maybe like Magician stated, M@u might have a language barrier that limits his comprehension of types of games there are in TAO.

Now lets exam Powza's assertion that M@u wasn't a good player as he only beat Powza with four units left. Just curious, do you know that one player can vary his playing styles depending on who his or her opponent is? I fall into that category. The goal is to win the game, not to beat opponents with as much units left as possible. If I remember correctly, from the games we played, he spent a lot of time making careful calculations of every move he made as he was in a disadvantaged position when facing my anti-rush with his turtle setup. Maybe he didn't really play out his full potentials in that game. How could you tell?

I only made the thread initially cos I was pissed off. For those people who know me, you know I would only bring something like this up if I thought I had good pretences to do so. I am an honest and fair player and look down upon this kind of behaviour. The guy openly agreed with me twice for a grey game and then even in the game pretended to ask me how to surrender and claimed it didnt work when he tried. I did take s/s's but deleted them because he did not really say anything incriminating during the game after that. I appreciate the support I have recieved from people in the community who know me. Thanks. Its just shit luck for me at the end of the day.
