I still think he had the win, he could kill scout with assassin, and then bleed your knights down with assassin, knight, bw and cleric. Since your range is gone you can't get the bw without losing a knight. If he moves assassin into lw range for a knight attack you can't attack it for a potential assassin bomb. If his pyro blocks, that helps but it certainly does not mean he loses.

We have a tourney game to play on FPS, for the Big Simple Tourney 2, and since you're no longer on FPS forums (or are you? I couldn't tell), I figured we could get our game set up here.

My timezone is GMT - 10:00, Hawai'i time (5 hours behind East Coast USA due to DST, in the summer months I'm 6 hours behind). I can be available most hours from noon to midnight on that timezone (would be on and off unless we had a date and time specified), but I do have college classes on Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 9 AM - 2:45 PM (9 PM - noon on Friday). Due to the shoddy bus schedule I can't get home until about 4:45 on Monday/Wednesday and about 3 on Friday, and have a driving lesson Saturday afternoon, but otherwise I think my schedule's free.

Lemme know what your schedule's like (and your timezone!) and we can set up a time, aye?

The Maxx had the slight advantage and also it was Mav who was dc'd. They should probably replay, but I reckon Maxx is within his rights to claim the win. Depends on his sportsmanship/gentlemanliness (i think that is a word)

You'd lose your knight for a side-hit on his pyro? And besides, according to The Maxx, it was his turn and his bward did not have to wait.

He could have easily barried it, and you'd have to move because of the lward. You could have hit the assassin but that would put your knight in danger because of the recovering pyro and the side hit from the assassin.

Even if you'd hit the assassin and your knight blocked saving it from death, his cleric didn't have any waiting turns either. Your scout will be able to take one shot before dying because of its low health, and after your scout dies, you won't be able to take the cleric.

So I don't understand this at all. Even if Maverik had all the odds, Maxx only had to kill the scout to get at least a draw.

So probably Maxx had it, unless I'm missing something. He could easily save his pyro and then block with the assassin from the knight who can't come near because of the lward. If his pyro lives, you lose. If it doesn't, most Mav can get is a draw.

Maxx has the advantage in my opinion.

Although I'm not sure about the other knights, I think you're right on all of these. The knight didn't have to wait a turn- the scout was the one that did (my error). I wrote all that up from memory more than an hour after the game so I'm not certain of all of it :P.

I am certain that my LW only had to wait only one more turn (my strategy was, right before you dc'd, to BW and then to take out your scout via assasin whilest enjoying my LW abilities).

Anyways, I guess none of it is that important since we're both willing to rematch.

This doesn't change the fact that his bward was still free to use and your scout is out of range of it (if you want to sacrifice your knight and scout for the pyro in the first place)

Like I said, you have no advantage at all, nor does it mean that if you kill his pyro you'd automatically win.

I'm waiting for Hool's post since I'm sure he thought out a few moves before giving you the win, else I'd say Maxx may take the win if he wants to (wouldn't be too honorable, but slightly understandable).

Now, I happen to think all limitations on turtles are bullshit, and don't normally play limitation games, and since I'm kinda inactive, I don't know what the new gold standard on rules is. Thus, this one was a huge curveball to me. Do I have to buckle up and play with a back-rank stoney? All my best formations (well, just the only one I really use, actually) use corner clusters, and I don't want to play with a handicap.

I think that the placement of the BW and LW in the first game was at the very least strategic. It severely limits the amount of units that can kill the cleric once it reaches the end game. The placement of the two were at least set to draw the game.

lol. Really though, I recall him saying that to me on multiple occasions. Not degrading LT at all here, just saying that isn't much to brag about.

I've done everything I could to get this match in. I lost my ride to san diego for a superbowl party, so I'm even going to be here today, but if reno doesn't come on and we don't get our match, I will not take the blame. I've gone completely out of my way, missing sleep to make timesmy opponent said he would be available at, that apparently he was not, and i have been undeniably active.

Though, perhaps you should consider extending the deadline? There seem to be quite a few unplayed matches.

How come I am on the DQ list? Work and i have pm'd each other 3 times or so, and we tried to set up a game last Sunday, but he came an hour late( i think because my last p.m. was too short of notice)...
