How about some of you Leaders Define what a Clan is and what it does.
Based on all of these topics here, I see more spamming then recruitment.
This way Newbies wont just spam these boards asking
"Why aren't I in a clan yet?" , "Can I join a Clan?", "What do I get joining in a clan?" etc etc etc
What exactly are the basis of the Clans such as Slayers of KotR?
What does it want to do? Grow in Quantity and not Quality?
Whats the significance of a clan?
NO Im not saying its bad to join one, as I did make a Account for 3 of the Clans, just not applied for it yet. But surely a clan is made in any game, whether its this, a fps shooting game, or even Magic Online for a reason.
What did the Leaders create their clan for? Thats what I want to ask.

Clans provide an opportunity to play other players and test out new strategies/set-ups etc..... without it counting on their record. Also, getting a clan known is a way of being recognized in the game.
They are not a MAJOR part of the game, yet, but they are a cool new feature.

(i'm not the leader, but i'll say what i think)
clans are also a way for 'friendly' competition between different groups.
it can also be a way to make friends, chat, and have fun.

I believe clans emerge as a way to satisfy our need to belong, one of the 9 basic human needs.

Where do you get the # of 9
According to Maslow's Theory, Human needs are broken up to 5 Pieces.
Self - Actualization
Esteem
Social
Security
Physiological
One thing is very certain though while in the lobby.
There are WAY WAYYYY too many Players out there spamming for Can I Join a Clan
and you know what some people invite these peeps in two ways
1. If they have good stats they just invite, they don't play the person first. Ex. Newb Hunters
2. These Guys who spam about joining clans, personally most of their stats are private or are crappy. So instead of improving these people, the leaders usually ignore them.
Why? Why not Train them so they could be of use the next Reset of Stats. Some of the LEaders arent understanding this.'
I just joined a Clan Today, not by personal will but because I wanted to help them out. Its a small clan and they're recruiting people with experience. Personally this is how I would do it as well, but I was never fought before I got invited, (for the 4th + Time from them).
Nethertheless Before I joined this Clan, the moment I started talking on the lobby I had many people already inviting me. Like Come on, fight me before inviting me, you dont know if Im a newb Killer or not as well.
Who Invited Me before the one Im in right now? Newb Clans and Actual Big Clans here, I was pretty suprised by that. Guess they go with Quantity, not Quality

Yeah, the original one was five, but certain theories expand the needs a little further.

Nicely put Aro23r. And in responce to HolyLancer, yes I've seen that happen too. I feel sorry for the people who get hounded by invites because that's not what they were created for. And I agree. Most people with a poor record just need some basic explaining done with them and their stats go up greatly, and what are stats anyways? They're way too easy to cheat on anyhow. That's why I'm proud to say we recruit those who we think will fit with us because of their personality and sportsmanship, not stats.
