I've been extremely bored at work today. I've been doing more sit-down work, then actual hands on work. So, I decided to pass some of the time with a little TAO. I set my avatar on an open square, and waited for an opponent to jump me. About 40 seconds later, I get a challenger. As soon as I enter the game, I knew it was going to be pretty tough. His dual-Cleric, dual-Witch, BW combo looked pretty intimidating.

I started off with a LW attack to the Knight directly in front of me. He had dual Clerics, so it was easy to heal the damage. I really didn't care if he did, I was more focused on gathering his style of play for a bit through random attacks; which units he would sacrifice, how defensive he was when it came to flanking, how good he was with a BW, etc . . . I came to the conclusion that his DMW's were his pride and glory. His BW was his last line of defense, and he used it sparingly (I use mine whenever I can).
After he fully healed the knight, I went for the Scout. I was hoping to push his frontline back a little bit, and open a hole to reach one of the Clerics. He pulled his Scout back as planned, but I changed plans rapidly. His Clerics had 2-3 wait-turns. So, I blasted the Knight in front of me again with the LW, barriered the LW, ran my DMW over and blasted him from behind the barriered LW. This put the Knight at 9 HP. He didn't heal, so I ran the Assassin behind him and killed him. I couldn't keep the Assassin alive long enough to get her behind the lines, and she died. I repeated this process until the other Knight had died as well.
I then went for the Scout, the next biggest threat at the time. I lured him in with a shot to the Cleric, and he took it. I then got a hit in from the side with a Knight, he healed, then I blasted him with the DMW, he the healed again, then I hit him with the LW. Scout gone.
While the Scout was dying, he tried to run a DMW in, and take a shot at my BW, LW, and Knight (since my LW had been used, this was a good tactic). After I killed the Scout, I focused my attack's solely on the DMW while it was being healed. It blocked once, which through me for a loop, but I managed to kill it before he could use it again. He then played LW tag with me, with his LW, and DMW. After I got a successful hit on his DMW with my Scout and moved out of range, he left the arena.

I'm happy because I took out such a powerful set, with only one casualty. I've been trying to get back into the game since I retired, and I seem to have gotten the mechanics of the (grey) game down. I also use a grey-no-drop-anti.
I'm kind've dissapointed as well. For a player with such a good set, and decent stats, he tried to D/C me with the old 'F5' trick. I don't know what he was thinking, I'm obviously a decent grey-player. What's also dissapointing, is the fact that I beat such an advanced set with a simple no-drop grey. Sad, really.
The game lasted around 55 minutes . . . I'm lucky that nothing work related came up. I'd have had to quit.
Oh well, good game whoever you are!
