How is it stupid that we put JJ in? If you want people to play there games, it would be smart leaving JJ in since he is actice in-game and on forums and he was trying to get the game played un like inked who hasn't done anything to try and play his game. I think he means it's stupid to suddenly allow JJ in as a sub at the last minute, when AK was barred from subbing from the get-go once I realized that having a participant without a forum account (although he has one now) might cause Hell for me when it comes to getting his game done, and it did.

If you think it is a stupid rule now, then you must have thought it was a stupid rule then, at which point you already had the opportunity to argue against it, but didn't, since it wasn't in your best interest.

Ok i finally played Triforce We drawed :p . I don't know how but i messed up the ending s/s and it didn't copy, so I just have one from a little bit earlier to the end of the game here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/ovhargro/triforce.jpg). I tried attacking there and it didn't work. It ended up with me: knight 21 hp, assassin 16 hp, lw and him: knight 15 hp, lw, bw. I could never get better than a frontal on the knight and any attack on his cornered knight would put my attacking unit in blasting range of his lw. I didn't feel like risking it and it ended up as a draw. Ah if only I didn't mess up with my chanty :(

I barely found stiff, and that was on a couple occasions, and spurt was no where to be found after the wipe. We were just trying to help you push the tourny forward by getting a quick game in with dragon and JJ just to make things "fair." So like i said i honestly dont care anymore since stiff somewhat dumped the leadership on me and spurt left us out to dry.

If Punishment felt he couldn't play as well as he possibly could at 2am he should have asked to arrange the game for tomorrow night. And what difference would 40 minutes make in that case anyway?

One team has advanced through winning matches, which is what you wanted (to prevent yourself having to choose a dq). If you don't like who won then you should have dqed them before the game was played for inactivity. It's no use complaining now.

So, what's left now? Are you going to decide which of the remaining 2 teams is dqed so we can get on with this?

It was my fault.

I shouldn't have played, but I do think it was 'Jackassish" of slayer to keep stalling me after I originally asked for a game about an hour before we actually played.

First he didn't want to play it, so had to wait for skeletor to figure it out. Then after that there was an argument about who would play for about 15-20 minutes, and then after they decided slayer would play, he was in a game for another 20 minutes. Just an hour I didn't want to wait when I wanted to go to sleep.

Pun if we are going to play the blame game play it with Geoff. Why you might ask? Well lets look back at what happened.

So for some reason we couldn't find Spurt after the grey wipe and he gets on a weird time as it is. I believe he lives in Australia. Anyways since Geoff wanted to push things through we just threw out an idea to have JJ substitute for spurt. After a few hours Geoff went ahead with it.

Mmmm FINE. John Jay find Dragonmaster play him. Spurt is out, i am tired of people wanting to be in a tourney and not being active.

So Geoff once again put us in the loop even though I stated I did not care anymore and told Geoff to let Pun's team advance.

So last night, I hop onto MSN after getting home at 1 in the morning. I ask Stiff what are we going to do about the tourny and all of a sudden Stiff puts me in a group chat with Pun and Geoff. They are both yelling about getting a game in, I was to the point of not caring enough to play a game anymore so I told stiff this. I asked if he cared if they just went through, he did, so after his game with some grey in GL he got a game with Pun. Pun was tired and his game was shot at the beginning because he was angry and tired.

During the match, however, Geoff wanted me to make the final decision on the matter between HA and HK...why would he do something like this I asked? He is the head of the tourny and should take these matters in his own hands on determining on who advances or not. I went ahead and told him that we are still in the tourny since he gave us the right to still be in it.

That is my story...that is how it went down.

It started off opp sides. It was pretty even for awhile, both of us putting pressure on eachothers scouts and DMW. INU was getting some crazy blocks and hits but they didnt really matter. I set up the assassin bomb early and was semi defending with that. Then INU misclicked his scout, allowing me to trade my DMW for it. After taking out the scout i was able to freeze and kill one of his knights. After that it was all down hill for INU. gg though.

Oh and Bot, beyond practice games, you're up 2-1 on me but one of those games was legends, which I completely and entirely suck at and always have, and in one of them you changed your form around to counter my dual pyro in our same side game after I won our opp side game, and you had said we'd play same forms both sides. Inevitably, a dual pyro turt will have the edge in same side and a disadvantage in opp side. We agreed to play same forms on both sides. I won opp, then you changed your form around for same. I wouldn't call that a win to brag about.;)

I assume that Netjak isn't going to replace Tactoholic considering he wanted to play his game. I have two days in mind that I might have time to play Tacto, which are Tuesday and Wednesday. If I don't have much things to do on Tuesday morning, I will be sitting on Great Lakes for a while until my classes call for my presence, which is before 12 PM EST. As for Wednesday, I will be in school library after I finish all my classes, which is after 3 PM EST.

Please don't assume that I will be there for sure. My instructors have assigned crap load of course work so that we can live our Spring Break carefree. I will try to the best of my ability without endangering my grade to get my game done. That's all I can say at this moment. :)

This somehow doesn't seem right. I've always been under the impression that FPS tournaments are intended to take place at FPS and if legends players sign up, they're the ones that need to change servers to look for their opponents. Why can't you and AFO keep an eye out for your opponents over here while you fulfill your duties at legends? Perhaps I'm missing part of the story but in your case and in AFO's case, it seems like you're saying that they should be looking for you and yet you aren't effectively looking for your opponents yourselves (at least in AFO's case; I don't know how hard you're looking for Slayer but it seems harder than he's looking for you).

It's really easy, Mith, if only I had a time and date I would be here for it. I don't even play on Legends myself any more, I haven't logged on for weeks. But I am ready to play whenever Slayer asks me to. If he doesn't ask me, then I can't spend my time on FPS waiting. Even if I did, I wouldn't have my attention on the lobby at all. I spend most of my online time doing my moderating duties on LF and doing work.

As for AFO, I can't say whether he's got any PMs or not arranging a time, but I'm sure if he was given a time he'd be here too.

Since Tactoholic has posted here once in about a month, Hatchet can take his place. I'll PM him now to get him to contact his opponent. And if Tactoholic complains, I'll complain straight back to him that he's not been around to play.

Well, I didn't see you when you were on Great Lakes. I remember I was busying asking any decent players to play me. When I got bored of it, I basically just hopped on a gold account, going back and forth from Great Lakes to Revelation. I remember while I was on Revelation, Magician and Thirdeye (Punishment) were arguing how past experience should determine who gets to participate in FPS vs Legends, not a stupid tournmaent. :)

To prevent same situation from occurring, I believe it is a good idea if you post in this thread when you get on. Honestly, I usually don't focus my attention just on the TAO screen. So if you post, I will know you are here.

We had same side turtles. I had considered using a different formation, knowing that my usual one is very well known and generally results in my scout being targetted right off the bat, but I stuck with it. His witch started in an interesting position just behind and to the left of his LW (which was in the standard position), which (after a few initial moves during which I got my scout away from the dangerous side of the board) he used to burn my LW and chanty, and then kill the chanty with his scout. I countered by reducing his scout to 13 HP, and he was forced to use it to hit my scout (reducing it to 18HP). I then had to barrier my own scout, since his chanty was still alive, allowing him to barrier it safely. He couldn't save it, though, until he had destroyed my LW; if I then broke his BW focus, he could have healed to 25HP and run away. So he reduced my LW to 23HP with his and waited to recover, even passing a turn without doing anything. This was his critical mistake.

I sent my knight down the now unoccupied nearside flank, past the LW, to threaten his BW which I had hit earlier with my scout before he blocked up the LOS shot with his pyro. However, with my LW and witch both having 1 recovery and his scout free to retreat if I hit the BW with my knight (and have the chance to side block to save its life), I knew that I needed to buy myself some time. I offered a juicy piece of bait to him by advancing a knight down the other flank for his chanty to freeze. He couldn't resist the bait and froze it. I then hit the BW with my knight, leaving his scout open to either witch or LW no matter where he moved it. He chose to make a useless attack on my witch (she was safe from any other attack anyway) and retreasted the scout. I killed it with my witch.

Now I was in the ascendancy, despite the damage on my scout. I broke the chanty's focus, leaving the side shot open to kill my scout if he chose, but then he would also lose his 17HP chanty to the knight it had frozen earlier. Instead he healed, and I followed suit, bringing my scout up to 30 again with no attackers in range except a knight. He refroze and tried to make me waste my time on his 20HP pyro which would allow him to barrier the chanty long enough to kill my knight, but I didn't fall for it. I killed the chanty shortly afterwards, and then the pyro in return for some damage on my previously-frozen knight.

At this stage, the battle was effectively over, so I took a screenie in case I got dced. :p

Shortly afterwards he killed my knight in return for his BW and cleric. From then on, it was simply a matter of mopping up the spread-out knights with my witch, scout and assassin. He generously LWed my assassin, leaving it on 21HP after a heal, and after spending some time tormenting his knights with the threat of a bomb, I killed two of the knights for the witch. Finally he allowed me to set up the bomb...

The only blocks of any importance happened in the first few turns where we both hit each other's scout from the front with our own scouts. I had a witch side block and he had a pyro side block, and in the endgame the knight blocking was slightly skewed towards me, but none of them mattered in the context of the game.

I must apologize for taking a early departure on scheduled Sunday afternoon. I was on Great Lakes for one and half hour, then I had to pack to go to New York for Lantern Festival (Cousin's wedding). I have noticed that Tactoholic posted 20 minutes after I left. So yeah, I apologize for leaving one and half hour early than my originally planned three hours stay.

As for right now, I am on Great Lakes. I will stick around for about one to two hours depend on whether my sister wants to use the computer or not. :)

Well you need to read the entire back story between HA and Geoff...then you would understand why I said that. I wasn't influenced on making this comment because I lost the game. I had a problem with this tourny from almost the get-go. I wish the best of luck to NJ. :)

btw i didnt volunteer to play is this tourny, but some of the HA members wanted me to do it...so I did. I came to find out that this tourny turned into a joke...and fast. Why would I get out of a tourny half way through it because we had these problems? The whole tourny started off well but then it went downhill when you started flip flopping.

I would recommend less often than every two months. I'd recommend every three. I'd also recommend actively trying to get other clans involved. I'm sure the Dawg Pound and THE JIANTS both have fine squads of greys.

so Im trying to contact AFO.

I've lost to Airforceone by 4 units (LW,BW,knight and scout).:crybaby:

We had oppo sides, he was a bit quicker with his flank attack then me,so I had to let him hurt my scout,assassin and knight. Then I've moved my units back under my LW, but since he still had full scout and my units were hurted bit more,it had no effect.
