We're already on addictinggames.com. I think there're plenty of ways to get to this site without popping the link on another one.

He's not talking about advertising, he's talking about "professional" gaming. There's a few reasons this wouldn't work tho. Unlike most MLG games, like Halo2, Gears of War, etc, this is not a first person shooter. With console games such as those, you know only one person can opperate the game at a time. Here, many many people can, which would allow for major cheating.
Secondly, this game isn't big enough. H2 gets people from around the world. We are a pretty self-contained community.
Third, association with MLG would just mean... what?! Tournaments. We already have those, and they are pretty well organized. The biggest difference is that you don't get money for them. But as I said, we're not quite large enough for that.
Good luck trying though.

I do think the "die-hard fans" line was kinda funny though.

This game isnt ready for something like that yet. Unfortunately, there is still too much luck involved for a game of this type to go pro. Ive seen many a game lost or won because of a single block/series of blocks (or not blocking), that never should have happened. I just finished playing a game, where whether or not I hit would decide the battle. I attacked a knight from the front with my golem ambusher with a 2% chance to hit. And it hit him. When that happens, you feel scammed out of a victory. its even worse when you miss several shots that were greatly in your favor because the other dude got lucky. Right now, there are too many games that are decided by who is luckier with blocking, and since this is primarily a tactics/strategy game, it will never go pro under these circumstances.
Why do you think games like chess, or first person shooters and the like have professional leagues? Because they have minimal luck involved, the more skillful player almost ALWAYS wins. I say almost always because humans are prone to make mistakes, and thats not luck based. You can prevent making silly mistakes through practice, but with guarding in this game, all you can do is cross your fingers.
Then there is the point of cheating which uniq brought up, as well as our community size. Thats another two valid reasons.
EDIT: I am totally not bashing this game at all, its incredibly good and enjoyable, and its not like being skilled doesnt play a major role in deciding the match, it just doesnt play a big enough of one for something like that.

hmm I am actually somewhat for this (or something like this) as it might bring people to the game that actually care about being really good players instead of the flood we have of people that pay for an account then only play greys and people they are sure to beat.

When it comes down to it, TAO simply isn;t a game MLGing would be interested in. MLG deals mainly with multiplayer console style games. TAO is no where near a good nough game for that,.

Kid at my school is on contract with MLG. He won $25,000 at the tourney in Los Vegas. (Split the prize for first place team.) He was captain of team carbon, (shockwav3). Its pretty intense, but I doubt this will got pro, to long of matches.

It'd be a pretty cool thing to see though. We'd all have a chance to see what people look like and such. But alas, MLG just aint the thing no more. It was kinda funny though, the FOX news thing on that kid who is trying to become an MLG player is getting pwned by me and my Friend on HALO2 on the couch where he's sitting (Funky Polak and The-Edsta)
