Because the thread Xe made amkes more sense as a sticky, since it contains several info threads, whereas the Map is for one thing.

What dirka originally appealed to was Buster's sense of right and wrong. He was breaking rules with that large of a signature, and so changed it. This is a MUCH more likely outcome then appealing to his sense of popularity, especially when it comes to dirka.
