So I haven't been playing TAO for the last 3 weeks (just visiting the forums on and off) due to school issue. I try logging on and kept getting the hated "Invalid username or password." So I visit the home page and sure enough, there was a wipe.
I create my account (thankfully no one had stolen my name) and decide to test out the form Pun. had put up in the grey form thread. First game up against decent player from Crazy Army, won by 8. Second game, killed some noob.
Third game, I get jumped by a gold. Being thoroughly pissed off that I got jumped testing out a set meant for grey turtles, I impolitely start off our conversation with "you grey jumper! >:-(." On closer examination, I realized that this was indeed a true grey jumper, seeing as his form would never last in a gold-gold match. It was the classic grey turtle (actually, the one i usually use) with BR in for sassy, frost for chanty, and DT instead of DW and BW. A knight was also replaced with a back row mud.
I get first move. Seeing all of the LOS to his cleric, I decide not to move the knight in LW range and move a flanking knight instead. His move, LW's the knight. I move my scout down 1 right and 3 south (from where it currently is, and where it started the game) and shoot his cleric. He freezes it (!). I barrier. He assumes his cleric is safe, so he heals and stays put (!). I move my left pyro down and burn his frost. He moves his scout up to shoot the knight (!). I kill his cleric and move back to the original position, hoping to lure out his BR. He attacks the pyro w/ knight and surrenders.

Altogether not a glorious battle against probably a newly crowned gold. But a gold is a gold.
Against any experience player that wouldn't of worked, as the LW would have been saved. The scout would shoot the barrier. And then DT/Mud/Knigh/LW and my scout would've died. (But I DO lure the scout out so I DO get to chanty it...)
*(!) means I'm thinking in my head WTF?
