Mithrandir vs Maverik07 = Mithrandir.

Mav's a good player, it was a good matchup. I hit one of his knights from the front with my scout at one point, then he followed up with similar luck by hitting my knight twice in a row from the side, then I got his knight twice in a row from the side, weakening it to the point that I was able to finish it off. Then I put a ton of offensive pressure on him extremely quickly, while he was in kind of a half attack position. His cleric and chanty were inevitably finished and there was pretty much no way he could have won. He surrendered at that point. I felt pretty good about how the game was going, though I was expecting it to take a good long time. The luck on his knight sped things up though. GG Mav.

Heck, I wasn't expecting to derustify myself enough to make it into the final. Win, lose or draw, I care about a tournament being run in a just manner and I thought Elemental felt the same way. This is undeniably, ridiculously unjust. It hurts the integrity of the whole tournament. If Ele's gonna be an idiot, then fine, I'll play all three of you, but it's obviously a stupid decision and it's detrimental to his reputation as a tournament organizer.

Edit: And I'd just like to add, if the problem in a tournament is inactivity, the solution is never to just let everyone go through to the next round. The solution is either giving more time (which I would recommend) or double-DQing. If two people won't put forth enough effort to play their game, they should get DQed, not both advanced to the next round. Tournaments cannot function with a system like this, where in the semi-finals you have two people play each other and the other three people get byes.

Wack hasn't responded to my PMs on the subject (and I assume hasn't responded to Powza either) OR posted here recently, and when we were previously trying to get the game in, he stood me up when we had an appointed time, so as much as I <3 Wack, he isn't putting anywhere near the effort that Powza and I are.

You say that like it means I have an abundance of time to spare, and I don't. I'm working, in addition to getting ahead on my immense workload for next semester (the honors program I am in at Biola is such that you will die if you don't get ahead between semesters) and placing a high priority on spending time with my family, because I don't see them eight months out of the year and we're close.

So yes, I have the summer off. But I'm still busy. Unless there's a test coming up or something, I typically played TAO more during school to break up the work than I do nowadays.

This is really not a great time in my life for TAO right now but I want to finish what I started here. It's hard enough to make time right now without you guys not responding and giving me any times at all that you can play, making it impossible to try to work around my schedule. With Wack it isn't as big a deal because we've been on at the same time in the past and I can hope we run into each other. But with Powza, it's really frustrating.
