Well, I decided to start turtling again recently, joined the FPS turtle tourney team thing, joined the turtle clan, etc. Basically, I turtle a lot on rev now in free games or turtle games. I think that's the best way to jump start one's skills, just use a turtle against everything and anything that is thrown at you.

As you can guess from the title Asianpride54 jumps me with his usual rush. You know the one, the exact same form every other member of NEXT GENERATION uses. The one that takes no skill to use and is just as uncreative as it is commonly used, but that's beside the point.

By no stretch of the imagination am I a good turtler. I'm okay, decent if you will. I can beat noobs at turtle but if I turtle someone truly good I don't have the recent experience to put up much of a fight. Okay, so the stage is set.

I put my piece down as I usually do. Although, it isn't in the top left corner, so not too usual as that is my favorite spot, but normal enough. And as Asianpride54 is prone to do, he jumps me. He jumped me recently a lot because I've been playing with bombs or dual BR forms, nothing I'm too experienced in, so he thinks I am easy stats. Not far from the truth, I've lost 100ish stats on rev in the past few days because of having fun (which is a lot better than worrying about stats but that's a different topic).

He jumps me with his rush against my opposite side turtle. He makes a snide comment along the lines of "Nice turtle." I just ignore it, he was probably scoffing at the fact that I had a furgon and that I would be easy pickings.

Sorry the first screenshot is halfway through the game, I wasn't planning on making a report until he said stupid things.

I decided to make this battle report to show everyone the stupid things that come out of his mouth.

As one can expect I played defensively, having a wisp, furgon, frost golem I had little other choice. I pretty much surrounded all of my units in shrubs to protect them, and most of all, I protected my frost golem.

He ran all of his units up at the beginning, except his frost golem. I took out his mud golem for my wisp, and I took out one of his scouts with my dragon.

I gave up one of my scouts to kill his second scout. Thus making my frost golem and furgon combination supreme. The only wild card left was his frost golem but he basically wasted it. He froze my stoned mud a few times and I just hit it with my dragon a few times. He decided to freeze my dragon instead, and I one-hit the frost golem to death with my mud (he was at 20). I then killed his cleric with my dragon, and he killed my mud golem which got hurt while it was frozen.

I froze his dragon, so he had to get through my furgon and the shrubs to hit my frost golem. All the while my dragon killing them. I out played him with my furgon and he surrendered.

I think I've only lost to that dsm nubrush once.

It's really just a weak set. The only person I've seen play it well is noda (Tugnus being a close second though).

Good job regardless bax, I've never tried beating it with a turtle, and I'm not sure I could.

I find it hard to beleive you can lose by that much solely due to luck...

According to Asianpride, I bet he's never lost a game by "lack of skill." He said the same thing to me when I beat him by a hefty amount (I believe it was 6) with my furgon-free. Something about my scout blocks being ridiculous when it blocked a little more than half the time (what a concept, a scout blocking about 60% of the time) JUST after he had three ~40% blocking knight side hits.

Bax knows what free I'm talking about, the one that made him hate furgons. ;)

Eh, as much as I hate luck logic, I hate unit logic more.

The closeness of a game CANNOT be determined by the unit count. I have lost games by 9 which were deathly close until I made a fatal mistake, and I've won games similarly. I've also won games rather easily, but only ended up on top by 1 or 2 hits, it wasn't a really close game since I was a step ahead the whole time.

Judging how the game was just by looking at the results CAN be true, but its just a faulty system, much like judging someone by their stats.

Winning by large amounts is a turtle thing. Focus units tend to make the game jump strongly in the direction of the winner.

Looks like an opp. anti, in which case your defensive turt should be at least on par with his form. In fact, assuming you can furgon at least decently, I'd say you had set advantage...

Also, I don't really see a big deal with what he said. Sure, he sort of tried to make a lame excuse and backed out of it, but I play so many people who do that it's hardly noteworthy. It seems to me like you were just ready to jump on him for anything he said that was at all immature. I see nothing incriminating. Also, you're sounding a little injured that he even jumped your turt when you a) said you wanted to play free games with it b) had your avatar down for open challenges.
