Ok so most of the active members both here and on TAO already know about teamUSA.
But if you don't we are a new clan, are slowly but surely becoming a great clan on the Great Lakes server.
We have a total of 10 sponsored golds whom all have "teamusa" after each of their account names.
You can ask any one of these golds for a tryout and they all have enough say to decide wheather you are in the clan or not.
But for the most part the try outs will go through me, and the recruiters justin(team u.s.a.) and I choose.(will be updated soon)

There will be a stat requirement of 1000 for greys and 1200 for golds for now.
You will need at least those stats to tryout, unless an exception is made.
The stat requirement is not so much to get a whole bunch of 1000er's in our clan. But it is more so that you can prove to me/ other recruiters that 1000/1200 is easy for greys/golds.
Because in reality it should be, and if 1000 is a difficult stat then TeamUSA is not the place for you.

I would also like to make it clear that all sponsored gold account slots are filled up, and no more will be offered, for the time being. So please if you think that joining is just gonna up your chances of getting a gold, well then your in the wrong place... Because at this point your chances of being upgraded by teamusa is as good as being upgraded by any other clan.
We are looking for skilled TAOers whom can be active team players.

I am online quite often and it shouldnt be difficult to get ahold of me.

Well, try playing some of the sponsored golds. You can identify them by their names (name)-TeamUSA. Most of them do represent some of the best and most well known players on TAO. Those who have revealed who they are include:

The greys represent a mixed bag of players, some experienced, some not so experienced. Since we are sponsoring this team for the fun of TAO players in general it is only fair to add a few greys. However, at this point the team has asked me to only join greys who know how to play. You are welcome to join as well.

I keep hearing the same questions over and over so here is my answer which I will reference to any who ask in the future.

As of Feb 26, 2007 all 10 sponsored gold positions are filled. Gold account names are a follows:

3. Disseminator-TeamUSA
4. FreeBSD-TeamUSA
5. Mod-TeamUSA (Team Mod)
6. SnorkGL-TeamUSA
7. FireStarter-TeamUSA
8. Carnage-TeamUSA
9. Optimus-TeamUSA
10. Team U.S.A. (me, Team sponsor and manager)

Will you sponsor a gold for me?
I cannot and will not sponsor more golds for many reasons, of which cost is NOT one. This sponsorship program is a 2 year program for me. It may turn into something more, it might not. But sponsored golds will remain sponsored for at least 2 years. This being the case I expect some of the sponsored players to lose interest in TAO over time. It's only natural. People get busy with life and so on. If and when that happens a new player will be chosen to fill in the sponsored position. I suggest that those interested in becoming sponsored or being a part of TeamUSA join the team to keep a pulse on things.

Can I share my sponsored gold account with a "friend"?
No sharing of sponsored gold accounts, period, no exceptions. If you are caught sharing you will be removed from the team and your sponsored account given to someone else.

I'm not an American. Can I still join Team USA?

TeamUSA team members will try their best not to be total assholes. This is a GAME and should not be taken too seriously. Trash talking is normal during gameplay. So I don't want to hear complaints from anyone about "so and so said this". That's crap, and you know it. Besides, the Game Moderators are there to keep things in check. I am not a police officer so don't expect me to be one.

Be a good player. We want good players to be a part of TeamUSA. So if you are a good player please have any sponsored TeamUSA player vouch for you and you will get a invitation to join TeamUSA.

Most of all, be cool and be nice. You all are old enough to know what lines not to cross.

Syth, you actually raise a good point. Uniq raised this same point a while back. To be quite frank, I have been thinking about it quite a bit recently.
Of the 10 sponsored golds, 5 do not have gold accounts. Myself, and 4 others... maybe 3. I really think the sponsored golds should go to skilled gray players who have been around TAO for a while and do not have their own gold.
I will talk to the sponsored golds who already have golds and discuss this. I think it is fair and reasonable. A good example of this is Dark Fire Phoenix. He does not have his own gold. So I am more than happy to give him a gold and he is more than happy to play it.

Anyway, a good point by you and Uniq. Very reasonable. It's just taking me a while to learn how things work here on TAO so adjustments will be made as time goes on.

We have a opening for a sponsored gold account under TeamUSA. To select the player we will hold a gray showdown. Player will be selected form top 3 finalists. This does not mean that the best gray will get the account, it means that one of the top 3 will get it. Reason being is that luck plays a part in winning sometimes, so allowing for a top 3 helps to lessen the luck factor.

Rules:
1. Gray players must use dropless set.
2. Rematches will be held for disconnects
3. If a draw then rematch will happen.
4. Applicants must not have their own active gold account. If your only gold account is on Revelation you MAY participate in the showdown. If your gold account subscription has recently been cancelled, you MAY participate.

To apply for the gray showdown please visit www.teamiea.com, click Join a Team and fill out the form. In the reference #1 field please enter "showdown"

SIGNUP Deadline is March 10, 2007, 5pm, Pacific Standard time (California).
