View Full Version : Music on the forums?
I don't think this has been suggested before. . .I looked it up but it wasn't to broad of a search. These forums are kind of a dark gloomy place. . .Why not have a music player to liven it up a bit? I suggest that anyone who wants to can post a song to put on this music player and whenever that thread is full o' songs you can close it and start working on the player. Now I know some of you are gonna say "iTunes?!?!?" but some people don't have iTunes. SO I think it would be a fun process of putting everyones favortie music on the website and just listening to music on it. Tell me what you think.

This will be an excellent idea by the time dildos have wings.
Seriously, if you want music just download it.
I don't have a music downloading program >.< That's why I requested this in the first place.

Music players on websites were one of the most hated and quickly disbanded concepts ever created.
We should all be thankful and glad that there is some force which has made sure these annoying features are gone and not returning.
What benefit would such a concept ever have here?

People with Dial Up would be so bogged down, and what if you didn't like the music that was uploaded.
The only good thing about this is that if it was implemented, we would have something to blame on lagging the forums instead of signatures.

Youtube. (Free no downloads)
I vote no, also TAO can not legally play copyrighted songs, so... unless you have music you want to post, or we could use silly uncopyrighted stuff..

i'm too lazy to do searching right now, but there are a TON of online radio streamers
music.aol.com (free xm radio)
Winamp has free radio streams, including aol radio which includes XM stations)
Itunes also has some (although bad) streaming radio

Why would they have music on the forums just to make it lag even worse then it does?

Windows Media Player?!?!? Yahoo Launch?!?!? Realplayer?!?!?
Don't be one of those left in the dust with no music application and no knowledge of other sites that offer what you're suggesting.

If you want music to play while you post then turn on your stereo, or play music from comp.

ok first off. The spelling... my god it's horrible. >_< And second off those damned "free i-pod" shits have got to be about the most annoying thing on tao at this point. i wish that we could vote that kind of thing off but sadly no. So this... This "suggestion" to call it that would be giving it a term which is not fit for such a bad idea. so we will say no. Thank ye but no. Thou shalt have to come up with a "no music" or "mute" button idea to complement it. But with such a diversity of music now and days it's just spanned to wide to give good music.

Why would we want to hear music when we have these wonderful duck noises and free ipod jackpots to listen to?
