Ok...So as I was showering today, I farted...as usual, the shower fart smelled REALLY bad. Why is it that shower farts always smell the worst! I just dont get it...I mean, I fart like 50 times a day and none of them smell even close to as bad, if even at all, to as bad as the shower fart. Someone, please tell me why my shower farts are so horrid!
Idk.Because shouldn't the shower clean them?

Shower = wet & steamy
Fart + wet & steamy = bad
My guess, anyway.

I'm pretty sure that the shower steam combines with the fart and adds a moisture to it that makes it the smelliest.

But...theres gotta be some scientific explanation?

When you are in the shower, you are in a small little box, so when you fart, you get the whole fart, and there is no air to drown it out....It is just the fart condensed in a box
Try it out, go in a closet, close the door, and fart

Yeah but...it doesnt smell the same. I know my farts down to the last molecule...my farts do not normally smell like that.

same reason that dogs, who have pretty good sense of smell, have wet noses :)

"H2O, in the form of water vapor, easily attaches to methane molecules by the chlorine atom, or the sulfur released from bacteria, making the foul smell more readily attach to the nostril lining, subsequently sustaining the odor longer than in a dry climate. In addition, warm vapors will cause any crusted mucus to soften and disengage, providing more surface area within the sinuses. And lastly, (if you are male) the qualitive factor of "worse" is a perception of foreign gases - as to our own emissions, the qualitive factor is "better."
Wow, knows that..?

I'm glad I finally found a serious thread, I was getting rather bored with the forum.
