Name: Weapon Expert
Job Class: Human Fighter

Description: Weapon Experts are blacksmiths who made a copy to every weapon ever made. Having all the weapons ever created, they are not sure how to use them as each weapon has a different style of combat.

Hit Points: 34
Power: (N/A)
Armor: 20
Blocking: 75% Front, 38% Side
Movement: 4
Recovery: 2
Target: (N/A)

Study: Because the Weapon Experts are not skilled in anyway, they must study their opponent's moves to learn the style. When an enemy unit attacks this unit, the Weapon Expert copy's the move and obtains the same attack pattern as the unit that attacked him.

Additional Information: The Weapon Expert does not copy focus unit's attacks. He does not copy magical attacks such as Pyromancers basic attack and Mud Golem's Mud Quake.

Does he learn magic too?

I kinda like the idea...is it original?

Yes he does learn magic. I'm not sure if it original, for I have not heard of anything similar to this unit. It is quite possible that someone made something like this.

Not bad but the name might run into a problem.

Person1: Hey have you gotten the new weaponsExpert(forgets space between words) yet? And you dc for saying a curse.

Its hard to NOT copy someone else's unit idea. Look how many CAU's have been made. I like the idea though.

Yes but people may put it that way and explain to me how this guy learns magic.

Does he learn how to shoot a fireball like a dragon tyrant too?

You must have forgotten that spell-casters carry staves which the Weapon Expert Carries. I'm not sure how he spits dragon fire out of his mouth but everything else in TAO is fantasy and I don't think this unit would change it.

Would he be able to barrior other units if he got barriored? Does this power stay with him forever (as if he was never hit again). Does he get the power to heal when healed? He can cast lightening after being hit with a LW? And the power just isn't in the staff. Trust me if you could give the knight the DMW staff people would. I don't think that it should be able to cast magic.

What if its hit by a boulder or a mud golem? So many questions that you can't answer.

This has been done before, but the only other one I remember (quite recent actually) was a ward.

I don't like this unit because he can so easily get the devastating attack power of a witch, followed by a scout when he gets sniped... and the opponent can't zap him because then he's a walking lightning ward (or just as bad, you zap him and then the opponent has to snipe him urgently). In short, overpowered.

Does he copy the cleric? I don't think he should, but he should have more limits that just having to be attacked by a nonfocus damage unit.

I always love how scb is so good at imagining the play mechanics of every proposed new unit.

Me, too, have created a unit similar to this, and i called it Apprentice. It was just my first unit, so i like your one more and its not really the same. The sure way how to deal with your unit is paralyzis, because he cant copy it. But i like it, although scbs suggestions are right.

I made it so he cannot use magical attacks like the Dragon's Fire.

Mhm is name says "weapon master". I think when someone just made a staff he cannot really use it right now. And when hes skilled in making weapons then hes probably not skilled in casting spells. But there are other problems. What if MG hit him? Will he copy his punch or what? And yeah, will he spit a fireball?

He can copy any attack, even Mud's punch. Instead of using a muddy fist he would use his regular fist I guess.

This will probably become a scout and stay a scout early on, unless it gets in a melee with a knight, in which case it will gain power to be nearly as powerful as the knight in the endgame. I think the slow start balances the lategame versatility. Good job.

I haven't made the concept thread that this would fit into yet, but it will probably have a lot of competition.
