Rankings Like Legends

I am a little upset. I have found that virtually every account high ranked is retired and it has gotten to me. Now My idea is that we start using the ranking system like legends. It goes by, you must play a ranked game every week to stay on the ranking board, instead of just having to log in every week. Of course, Big clans that are big because of these retired accounts , like SI and NJ, will be against this because they are mainly ranked because of retired accounts. GL doesn't seem to have as many retired players and this doesn't seem like it would affect it as much but, it will affect army a bit and banff the most. This is all I really have to say. Thank you.

Great idea. This would force the whores sitting on their stats to play a few games, and probably lose their way off the rankings because they don't deserve it anyway! This would make the rankings full of more deserving people, and although there are ways around it, more legit. I hope this happens... Would give the stat whores quite a scare! Would also change the rankings significantly; at least 60 people on each board would be booted off of it... Haha..

Yes i know this but, it would still have an effect on many accounts that just sit there and nobody besides the original user knows the password

It would have a small effect, I agree. A better rule might be that you need to loose and/or gain a total of 5 stats in a month to stay on the list. That way, it would make it a little harder. That, or a feature that allows accounts to retire, wherein they arn't on the list by will.

I think it would be best if your rating just had to fluxuate weekly.

Just gain or lose 1 stat and you can stay on, but enough of the people who don't play AT ALL.

This is kind of hard for me to decide weather or not I like the idea...The problem is there is 4 servers, it would hold bigger KG, because it would have to memorize alot of account. But then your giving a chance to other people to get on rankings since they will be lowerd.

Yeah... even though there are ways around it, it would force people to log on even to commit such crimes (like have a friend get on a grey account). And.. peopl might even catch them doing it, and it could be considered some form of cheating, would demolish their reputation anyway.

It is already like this here, and has been a long long long time. Inactive accounts are not displayed on the rankings

Sangro is talking about having them updated daily/weekly like legends was before the system stopped. It'll make rank camping impossible because you'll have to play a game outside of the clan to stay ranked.

It does not work that way here. The rankings are still the same as they use to be. You have to get on which ever server you are from once a month without playing a game to keep your rank here. You don't need to play a game with this style unlike the other one.

Except that I get on both Jeffery and Twin more often than that, and yet neither are on the rankings because i don;t play games on them.

When the rankings were first redone on Legends, the SAME CODING that grabs the rankings was also applied here. And it is this coding that caused the several players to be accidentally dropped from the rankings this last update. It's the same coding seed made, applied here.

We might not be as big as we used to be, but that wasn't the point I was making, I was saying that we're not big mainly due to rank camping. SI has had a big reputation for a long time, and Sangro was suggesting we are big due to rank camping, which I think is just untrue.

jeff. no it doesn't. Rantzu does not play a grey to stay ranked and neither does blud. I think this might be the first time you don't know what you're talking about.
If it was changed on legends and isn't showing then i apologize for calling them like legends.

not really. I left SI on rev because of the inactivity. I still don't see many ranked accounts on banff. I am not very familiar with any other server, but i can only assume it is somewhat like that.


Off topic Rant- I've been telling you guys for the longest time to log on Big X's account. you need to get a little higher to overcome that stupid storm of veangeance (spelled wrong) clan by tomorrow. I know they will die soon anyways but don't let them go from unranked to second in a week please!

woah am i ignored or what....but wouldnt this settle the problem a higher ranked player has to play another high ranked player 1400-1500 plays 1200 1550-1600 plays 1350 ect...solves alot right?

The legends ranks was updated daily not weekly, and they have 1 server with 1600+ to get ranked, on the FPS servers you only need 1400+ for each server, so if you put the legends ranking rule in place it might even be 1300+ or less to get ranked because you'll be taking about 1/2 of the rankings off (thats just for banff) and it'll be ruining the game for others just to get ranked so quickly and easily.

Legends have ONE server with 1600+ to get ranked, FPS have 4 servers and 1400 to get ranked, the rankings would be pointless to have when you'll need only like 1250+ to get ranked.

Most people don't do it though, because its not fair to other players who deserve the chance to be ranked. With what you've instated here its OK for someone that doesnt play anymore to take the spot of an active rising member. That's not right, and there is no rebuttal you can throw at me that can prove otherwise.

Rankings are there to show high ranked players who have gained there stats and should be there, taking them off will drop the ranks to 1250+ and rankings would have no meaning.

There needs to be 2 lists. One of all time high stat accounts So that even if they retire and stop paying people know who was here before them. Then also there needs to be a list of rankings where the stats change at least once every week or two. People may say "well they could just play another of their accounts and the stats would change and they would still be ranked." I say that is boosting and they get caught they get permanently deleted. Many of the people that are ranked also are against boosters so i doubt that they will boost just to keep their account ranked. As for letting 1250 grey jumpers into the top 100, at least they are active. I dont find them quite as despicable as those that hoard stats so that no one else can pass them.

2 Ranking systems would be a nice idea, but I strongly like the idea of playing a ranked game a week in order to stay in the Top 100 ... This way, retired players would not be clogging up the Top 100 and it would also give other players a chance to get ranked.

Yeah I see what you mean. There is the other side where there would be more competition to get into the Top 100 which I quite like. So if it means knocking out retired members, I guess thats what we will have to do, but like Dape said, there is no way the rankings would change. So I guess we will have to live with it ...

a 1250 to get on the currently active ranks because they are currently active but to get on the all time ranks a person would probably need to make it into the top 50 now as many of the top accounts ever no longer exist or they dont log on anymore. a 1250 making the top 100 doesnt bother me because it gives a sort of ranking of who plays today. And yes, i think to stay on the current ranking list a persons stats would have to change.

Carlos's accounts would make it into the all time lists. This would then allow current active players to compare themselves to other active players and not just those that have a 2-3 year stat hoarding advantage.

Well on one hand we have the All time quote "stat whores" who clog up the 50-100 top players leaving the 50 and below to the new competitive generation who well it may or may not be proven work for their stats. But on the other hand the legends ranking system would require the quote "stat whores" to play games and not just log in once a week to keep their rankings. And new players to get onto the rankings who actually play. While some people do deserve to be on the rankings. Others do not. So i am for the new rankings system.

if you have 6 accounts you play then yes you could have 6 top 10 accounts. i see it this way. You only get 1/6 of the time on an account that a normal person would have and yet you still get its ranks up. if you still play with all 6 why not let all 6 be ranked?

Why is it when I count the number of players on banff that are in the top 100 and I have seen play a game in the last 2 months I count less than 15? I actually counted 9 excluding clan leadership holding account. I am also accounting for the time I do not spend on the game. So my 9 becomes a 15 actual top 100 accounts that play on banff still. Why hasnt anything been done?
