Art Section

These forums have expanded with great banner makers. I think it's time that we get a Art section catogory. I mean look how many people requests banners, but yet they get simply ignored because other people spam up that one thread called '' Banner Requests And Discussion Thread'' how hard is it to make a Art Section?


If this idea comes good, in the (Art Section) I would have these 4 catogories...


1. SOTW Winner Circle
2. Sotw
3. Banner Requests
4. Show off your work


Those would be 4 great catogories listed in the Art Section. As banner makers get big, i'm sure there tierd of posting in the same thread.

this is the tao forum. not the art forum. this isnt necessary. if someone wants a banner, they can just spend a bit of effort and PM someone.

I dont think its a bad Idea actualy, it would smooth out alot of kinks and be a very widely used board. I think it should [if made, doubtful] be called the Graphics Board.

I have no problem PM'ing someone, or useing our current graphics thread, but this would be benificial.

The key here is to enjoy making banners for others, and showing off your work. The banner makers growth is geting bigger and bigger, who wants to use the same thread over and over?

ok i guess ill use this, i have had this banner made by Buster for centuries...i think it pwns but it got old...so anyone thats a KNOWN banner :p maker up for it? :D

Disclaimer:
Do not suggest another graphics board or you most likely will be flammed, tarred and feathered as its been suggested too many times.

The reasoning behind not having one is, 'This is a game forum, the graphics made by members do not reflect or have anything to do with the game.' Which I was told be serg. Even though it IS a forum, and most of the graphics will be made for the forum, plus TAO art could become a more common thing.

I realise its not a board, but its even an even larger request. I guess you didn't realy get flammed tho, good for you.

Well why the hell would banner makers continue to post in one thread called ''Banner Requests And Discussion Thread* I was just wondering wouldn't people like to express there banners so everyone can look at it. The Pages go by fast in the ''Banner Request And Discussion Thread'' it's like you miss everything. Having new catogories for banner makers would be fun.

It would add to the forums and it wouldn't hurt anyone, but its --according to serg-- a TAO forum and this has nothing to do with TAO. Even if it does have to do with the forum, could cut down on spam (the odd "can you make me a banner?" thread) and could do with TAO... The only way I could see it harming anyone is the extra scrolling space on the main forum page for people that don't care about the art stuff, but then the sections are collapsable so that wouldn't be a problem.

This is why so many people make graphics forums :P

Gallery & Requests - with sub board spacificaly for TAO Art

Even if u PM them i am assuming that they get just as many request as in the category making a new section would help for a bit but then it willl become as crowded as the request category there is basically no help for it i guess we have to work with what we have.

First, you need to learn to search - something you clearly failed to do here as two other threads are in this section with the exact same topic.

Second, what's your claim? That people get ignored in the thread designated for banner making? They'd similarly get ignored if every noob started a separate thread to ask the same thing in some odd Art Section. They aren't getting missed, they are purposely being ignored.

Third - such a section would produce something like CAU: a new thread every single time someone wanted to show off every crappy banner they made in MS Paint, with 2 or 3 responses.

Forth - if you want art discussion, I suggest you check out any of the number of graphics sites and forums dedicated only to that. Alternately, pony up the one you said you'd build.

I have to agree with deep. Sometimes, I do get pretty pissed because My banners are ignored while the n00bs spam up the thread with requests.

No offense deep, but our forums are dead. all we get is a bunch of rippers and people who swear and try to get us to leave. Why dont we make one where only people we know can go on.

for example, ignition, Firebrand, matt, shatter star, and me. I don't really think any of them will spam the site and rip..

I already annouced that GFX Invision has died because I decided to stop posting there, HomieG ruined the whole forums by ripping, there was nothing I could do because I wasn't an admin. I'll see if I can hook us up with Toxic Art, My friend's friends site. Or we can create our own once more.

What are you talking about, if this post was towards me I must say that the forums are not destroyed but everyone quit thanks to HomieG. he's a ripper any banner made by him is ripped. I suggest Chaos 4.0 takes off his banner because it was ripped by HomieG. I may make my own forums, so if I do make the forums anyone's welcome to join.

Ripping towards banner making means, that the person stold someone elses work and claimed that he made it himself. It's like me stealing your name and saying it's mine. I personally hate rippers, since '' HomieG '' was a root admin there was nothing I could possibly do, so I basically neglected the forums and just left. Now I may build my own community, I know how everything works, but I want to get some cool forums. Invision was a great forum but to complicated for skins. Proboards is very uniq in a way but it has alot of errors sometimes. Ranging gave me an idea today about forums with cash on them. The most easiest forums to use is Stebb, that's exactly what I will use, it's simple but it has some very cool programs. I like the style of it. If there was anyway I could stall a money installer on invision that would be quite cool (:) ). So in the mean time I will think of some more forum ideas.
