Why would they want people signed up to finish finding their teams? Either they don't get one and get taken off the list so they can get in the first 24 spots, or they enter the tourny with 3 but more people left to possibly form 6 more teams.

I like tournies and I am pleased mith is running this one. Nevertheless, in grey tag, unless someone screws up early, it almost always comes down to the last players.

Even if I play terrible my first game, I expect I will realize this early on and be able to kamikaze my remaining troops and take out enough of my opponent's key pieces (scout, cleric, chanty) that he will pose no threat to our #2. Wolfy will flawless the weakened remainder, and the process will continue. When wolfy wins, he likely won't have much left, and the enemy #3 will flawless him. Thus, it comes down to our last man, which is why we have Bottle slotted there. :cool:

The only slipups occur when #1 or #2 plays SO awfully that they don't kill any of the key pieces. So, hopefully, I can avoid that fate. Should be fun.

Okay, signups are closed. I can see that there is no way we're getting another six teams without a big delay, which I don't consider worth it.

Having said that, because I'm nice, I'm going to hurry and get the first round up as soon as possible. I still want each round to end on Sunday evenings, so this means the first round will have an extra few days. Stay peeled, matchups coming soon!

This comment is hilarious. The name of this tournament is the super-duper-STRICT tournament. You're asking to extend the first and probably simplest deadline of the tourney. I hate to say this, but Mith gave plenty of warning about the end of sign-ups, and encouraged early sign-up to avoid being left out. The players on the list showed very little effort, meaning they probably won't show the kind of effort needed to move this tourney along. Why sign people up who aren't going to participate, and end up dqing 5 or 6 teams from the first round for inactivity (because we're going to hold Mith to his word of one-week deadlines :p ).
