With Miths grey tourney coming up, i decided to start working on my grey skills again, so i decided to play Powza, the grey god.
We started out with same side turts, him having soda's set and i was using my normal set. We both have the same wards, cleric, sassy, witch, three knights, and scout, except i have chanty and he uses a pyro.
We start off going for the lw, and i soon realize, with his pyro, witch, lw combo, hes gonna win that war, so i start rushing, since he doesnt have a chanty. We end up trading my lw for his knight. I keep rushing him and we end up trading my knight for his witch. While i was rushing in with that knight, i also brought in my scout to go for the cleric kill, which ended up in a failed attempt. The luck at this point is probably in powza's favor, and with no lw, and his cleric all covered up, i decide to retreat. I retreat, and we both heal a little bit, and then powza rushes in. He comes in and right away takes advantage of my no lw, and puts his scout in range of my cleric while also in range of his bw, leaving me with no option but to cover up.
At this point im pretty sure powza has me as he brings in a knight and pyro to backup his scout. However, he makes an error bringing in his knight, which allows me to freeze it. This ends up with powza having to trade his scout for my chanty, which is a trade i am willing to do at this point. He kills my chanty with his knight, and i go to work on his knight. My luck is still pretty poor, and his knight escapes with 11 hp. He also manages to kill off another of my knights.
I make full use of my scout advantage and proceed to snipe away at his pyro. Powza heals then comes at me again. This time he comes with his assassin. I chase after his assassin with my last knight, leaving my witch, assassin and scout to protect my cleric. As i chase after his assassin, i get a VERY fortunate 32% hit allowing my knight full exposure to his backfield and cleric. My witch, scout, assassin do a good job of protecting the cleric, keeping his healthy knight and pyro at bay. However, i lose my witch and my cleric to bring down his knights' health and to kill his cleric.
At this point i have a 14 assassin, 30 scout, 22 bw, and 50 knight vs his 28 knight, 47 knight and 6 pyro and full wards. i hit his 28 knight and run with my scout, bringing the knight down to 14. His knight chases and i follow with my assassin. Powza starts to attack my scout, but changes his mind and kills the following assassin. I then get a side on his knight with my scout, thus killing it.
He then follows with his 50 knight, and i bring mine out as well. The knight gets a side shot on my scout bringing the scout down to 10 health. I then attack the knight with my knight, and it blocks. Powza passes and i hit a back shot with my scout bringing his knight down to 33 health with -87 blocking, then i run. He follows, and i get a shot on his knight bringing it down to 16 with neutral blocking. He then side attacks my scout killing it, and i side attack his knight, killing it.
So now its my 50 knight vs his 6 pyro and his two wards. Powza plays it right and keeps my knight at bay long enough to make it so that it comes down to me getting a frontal on his pyro for the win. I go for the hit, and miss. I lose, Powza wins, a Great Game nonetheless.
The luck aspect of the game was sort of odd. Overall, i would have to say Powza got more blocks and lucky hits than i did, but i got the key hits and blocks that i needed, so it was pretty even.
Oh well, i had a fun time playing, although it was slightly frustrating at moments... Great Game Powza
(I hope its not too one-sided, its my first battle report, i apologize if it is)
