Good idea, this wouldn't be so hard to set in for in-game. On chess they have the same crap. I agree very nice idea, I would like to watch some matches.

this has been asked SO many times. i doubt it, as it will bring more lagg and people will just stand in the lobby + give more excuses not to play.

I like the theory, but Brownguy is right. It would create a lag.

lol it would create a lot of lag, but is there a way to make it go away? possibly create more servers so that less people are on one?

but that would be an excellent thing if we could watch matches, people looking for clan members could look around for some decent players or sumthing like that.... another thing to add with this if it catches on is observer chat and a list of who is watching

Good thing this has not been suggested. Also, no it would not create any lag. I talked to OmegaShin about it, I cannot remember the exact details, but I know he said there would be no lag if it was installed.

You would not need to make new servers... However I believe it would require a lot of coding. I am not entirely sure though. I believe Jeffery knows a bit more about this.

The only increase in lag would be from an increase in the number of people on a server.

Te more people you have on a server not playing games, the less room there is for people to play games. There are a limited number of connections allowed to each server. To increase this connection number is an almost doubling of the base server cost.
You would also consume more bandwidth with more people on a server.

In the end you end up with more people not playing games though. ANd the point of TAO should stay focused on playing the game itself.

I love how they all bandwagon assumed there would be a huge increase in lag, wherein really it would be slight and could be prevented.

Maybe a Gold Only feature, though.
