For those looking to find the worst players on the Legends team, I'm surprised you didn't mention me. I'm really far too rusty to do well against the really top players, Maggy showed me that much in our game. But I'm still hoping for a 6-4 overall, I think I can beat Deepsea and Jonspen in at least 1 match and I've heard that blud isn't the strongest Legends-style turtler. I'm rather more concerned about FB and my other game with Mag.

Anyway, my internet connection is still not very good for some reason, but I'll be available to play in around about... ooh, 5 hours or so. PM me on the Legends forums, I spend most of my online time there so you'll have more chance of catching me.

Aight fellas, I have been pretty active for the past 2-3 weeks however long this tourney has been going on. I have been attempting to get on Rev any chance I recieve to play the remaining players I have left Bottle, OmegaShin, and Override. I see Bottle on forums quiet a bit, but as he has stated his connection is a bit iffy, as I can say the same about mine. I honestly haven't been able to complete a full turt game without disconnecting on GL in I have no clue how long. I have yet to EVEN see OmegaShin ever on in my TAO career and Override I still haven't seen him since the last two times he d/ced against me. But futhermore I have Finals starting this week and next week and I'm going to be a very busy man these next couple of weeks and after finals are done with I am suppose to go down to the beach with my girlfriend for about another week. So I'm coming to inform my remaining opponents I will not be able to play any games for at least 3 weeks as my time is very minimal to get on. I might check on every now and again, but I honestly can't promise anyone an exact time frame I can play in. But anyways wish everyone good luck on finals or on your attempts to jack off and not get caught. Peace.

We traded scout/mud at the beginning, then we restoned. I restoned a bit faster, went on the offensive. Then he made a silly move, moving his scout from blocking my dragon from killing his cleric. It was pretty much over after that.

HAHA, my friend and I watched this a while ago, we went to reanact it.

Well, we traded dragon siders in the beginning (though I argued with Bottle that mine wasn't any more important, it was). The game progressed, and I froze his mud, and he got my armor. He was pressuring my dragon and scout pretty badly, so I destoned him, threatening his scout. His scout ran, and I wisped his dragon. He had to freeze my mud that turn or havoc would ensue, so his dragon would stay wisped for a while to come. I dragoned his now unstoned BR and he retreated. I side blocked his BR attack with my BR (this was very key). I hit his from the side then, in a BR kamikaze type thing. He used wisp successfully and killed my BR, while I used my wisp to pressure him and lowered his dragon hp considerably and killed his furgon. I lost my wisp, he lost his, he lost his dragon, I kept mine. It became frozen knight, dragon, scout, stone, frost and cleric vs frozen mud, scout, stone, frost and cleric.

I won the exchange there, but I do have to say I did outluck Bottle this time. Regardless, very well played and good game Bottle.

This game was short, we both advanced, I destoned him with BR, he destoned me with mud. He pressured my scout, I brought my dragon and mud down to his side of the board. I lost my scout, but he lost his wisp and cleric. Yet again, I got a BR sider that gave me a huge edge this game. Had it not blocked, his frost would have tied me up a lot. He surrendered at this point in the game.

It's more the second dragon side block that really hurt me. You know, the one that would have allowed my to kill it with my still stoned BR (at that stage).

Honestly, I want to switch accounts. I haven't had a single block that I wanted for my past 4 games on Revelation. Dragon side block? I WANTED IT TO HIT! Whereas his side blocks both meant that I couldn't put the pressure on it that I wanted to.

I'm honestly considering quitting TAO after I've done with this tournament. Everything on it is depressing me. The one good game I've had in the past 3 months doesn't make up for all the shit that's going on.

I popped in and out all day and no sign of any of my opponents. Finals tomorrow, then wedding. Then more finals, then graduation. So I may not be around a lot. I'm not about to stop showing up, but again, my time will be much more limited. I've not yet turned down a match, but I just haven't seen my opponents on. I feel I've put forth effort. Hopefully, our future schedules will coincide.

And Ele, I did a bit of theatre in college (makes sense, me being a lawyer and all). For monologues, something that helped me was reading it aloud while walking the same path through my house / apartment at the same pace each time. When I got to my couch, I'd always be at the part about "slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" (or whatever). So when I did the part for real on stage, I had that in my head, and it was like having an extra cue - if the previous line didn't jar my memory, the image of the couch, or the chair, or whatever usually would.

Sounds more complex than it really is. Good luck.

(To demonstrate that, at least for me, this has some real-world value, it's also how I memorize important closing arguments if I have time to prepare.)

Well, same side. We talked about the major differences between legends same side and same side here. Most notably that here it involves skill, while at legends it is just silly. He had a frontal block to, which was my only none unblockable attempt the hole game, and it was a side and a frontal. Also, he attempted a couple of other side shots that hit. Luck was fairly even.

Ridiculous...not only did I have him destroyed the first game then blew it, I was angry and played like shit the second game then. Im done...I quit, I lost to quite a few players this tournament whom have never even gotten close to beating me and I just make stupid moves near the end of the game...it isnt fun for me anymore, im done. I actually had my first game on Rev with TMR that I can actually say I've been lucky in. Maybe things will turn around. If I ever see one of my opponents online, anyway.

I had the match against ZADICO and blew it, and luck didn't go my way for a while. Take a break. Chill. Bang your girlfriend, and come back. If you agree that you there is no chance you can win, there there is no point in continuing. But if you think there is the slightest chance in winning, then AU decides what to do.

I highly doubt that skill will have much to do with it. As I said, take out the muddy, and then it'll be (most likely) scout, mud, and dragon vs his dragon. He'll kill the dragon for 24 damage (brings him down to 36), and then even with amazing luck, he won't win, because a side block = 2 front shots, and AU's mud can quake/attack from behind.

I've been pretty damn active and have yet to even see a glimpse of OmegaShin and it has been over a month now..

Frankly, I'm at a loss for what to do. FB, can you be online this weekend, slightly early your time (say noon/early afternoon)? Jon will have to wait until both our exams are over, Mag is around and hopefully we'll play soon, and I just don't know what's going on with Deepsea. I've seen him on the forums about 3 times now, sent him a PM and he's signed out straight away without replying.

I have to agree. Deep, you have done a terrible job getting your games in. You have made lame excuses for not playing and I agree comepleteley with your opponents when they say that they're fed up with you. Meat chose you for the team because,at the time, we (the whole team at the time), saw a respectable guy and a good player. Your lack of game playing is not why we picked you. I have told you multiple times to get your act together and play your games, and I will say it again:

Play your games or they will most likley count as a flawless, and that will guarantee the loss of the tournament for FPS.

Firebrand it's not my fault if i can never find an opponent in my time. I work and i can't stay up to 3 am to find an opponent. .So if its not your fault, you pm'd all your opponents and told them when you could play and that you work and can't stay up late. Asked them when they could play and tried to arrange a time that would work between the two of you? Of course you didn't. Because If you did you'd get more then 2 games done in a month. There is no way in hell you couldn't arrange a game on weekends at the very least.

I don't mean to pick on you but your just the last person to post. I bet 90% of the people in this tourny have used the pop into rev and hope to find an opponent method of getting games done and unless your really active it doesnt work. I know personally I haven't sent or recieved any pm's for this tourny. I really haven't needed to as my opponents have been active as have I. But for most of you this isn't the case and all It would take is a little effort.

FPS got down a few points and it seems like they just couldn't recover. They still could, but it seems highly unlikely. Oh well, FPS did a good job, regardless of the score. As did Legends.

Congratulations to both teams, especially Legends on winning (not yet, but you get the idea). You all actually got along much better than I'd ever imagined you would and made this fun for innocent by-standers like me.

It was a good game, very close all the way and closer than I should have allowed it to be. First turn allowed me to attack, and I sent out my BR to ensure that he wouldn't be anywhere near my stone for a while. After a front block and a front hit, he killed it but left his wisp in a very weak position. I deliberately froze it to tempt the scout up, knowing he hoped to save the wisp, but that left both scout and wisp exposed and my wisp started working his magic.

My dragon killed his cleric, he killed mine with his BR and his now freed scout with dragon supporting them. I mopped up what was left in his base with my scout, mud, dragon and knight while he took my frost, and wisped his mud which he swiftly moved away to join his attacking forces. At this stage we had effectively swopped sides on the board, he had dragon, BR, injured scout (19) and injured mud (39) all still stoned (except the dragon wihich started unstoned), I had dragon (42), knight (25), mud (52), scout and wisp full. But his knight on 12 still remained in his base close to my knight which had -80ish, and I had to risk a side attack at 60% to hit. He blocked. I groaned, knowing the game was very much against me if I had to waste my dragon on killing his knight with my other units too far away to hit the knight. He went for the side attack on my knight, 92% to hit, which would have allowed his full HP dragon to toast my knight to a cinder. But it also blocked and I breathed a huge sigh of relief. (Mag was as pissed as I had been at the 40% side block, although I was more pissed at myself for allowing myself to get into the position of relying on luck when I had control of the game.)

Anyway, we finished off each other's knights, and I wisped his stone golem from where his cleric started, not only breaking stone focus but also keeping my wispy nice and safe from the dragon and scout. The battle transferred back to the other flank, where my scout and mud, 40 and 52, took on his mud and BR, 39 and full. I sacked the mud to slow him down, reduced the mud to 6HP and reduced the BR to 10HP before restoning my scout. His mud ran away, but attempting to protect his now unarmored 19HP scout from my loitering dragon, he left all three units (dragon, scout and mud) in a lovely cross pattern. In swooped the wisp, and when he sent the BR over to break focus, he miscalculated and left it in range of my dragon. Finally, I hit his 1HP scout from the side to win the game. Had it blocked, he would have had unstoned mud (1), scout (1) and dragon (40) against my dragon (18, 2 recovery), scout (full and stoned) and wisp (full), with his stone on 8HP and away from the dragon. I think I would have won even had the scout blocked, but we'll never know.

Overall the blocking then was rather even, because although he had more chance of hitting the knight side attack, if my attack had hit first he wouldn't have had the chance, and the other blocks were either irrelevant or fair on both sides. Mag played each individual move really well but I never got the feeling he had a gameplan for how to come after me, and his wisp and scout moves early on put him in a very dangerous position (which is easy to do if you're used to 2 scouts), although I made one or two minor errors as well. I enjoyed the majority of the game except the blocks in the middle, and I hope he did too. Always a pleasure to play you, Mag, well done.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. In the screenshot, my units are dragon 18 (2 recovery), scout full (just killed poisoned 1HP scout from side), stone 53, wisp full and no recovery. His are mud 1HP (no recovery), dragon 40 (no recovery), stone 8 (no recovery). Depsite my wisp having poisoned pretty much every unit he had on the board at one stage or another, it hadn't been attacked all game. :p

Well, he wanted to concede the game as he lost the screenshot, but I sent it to him again. He says he'll be back in 7 hours. I will try to be here. I can't promise I will be (that's midnight for me and I have to be up tomorrow early to revise). In the meantime I'm going to play out the game with mag and if either player agrees that their cause is entirely lost and unwinnable they can concede (me as the player, and Mag as the team captain). I warned everyone when I signed up for this. But nevertheless, I have been on MUCH more than Override and AC Milan, who honestly, I have never seen online. I wasn't able to catch up to Puni to finish Legends game, so that's probably on me. But the other 4 games...I don't know what to say. I finished my last test of law school yesterday, and the next week is hanging out with girlfriend, friends, and parents. So I probably won't be on much. Seeing as my part in this tournament is basically through, and I have it rolling in my head. I thought I'd post this now.

It was truly an honor to play on the FPS Turtle Team. I came here not only to make a name for myself and make this team, but to meet some new players. Though I did not do anywhere near my true potentials in this tournament (a best possible record of 3-7 is hardly good) I felt I have done both. In the sign up thread for the FPS Turtle Tournament, ignorance and biases basically said "you can't join this tourament because you are from Legends". Well, though the odds were against me, and some odd occurances happened to get me where I am, I proved the majority of those people wrong by becoming a member of this team. I'll be the first to say that of the FPS Turtle Team, I am one of the weakest players, and there were many more prime candidates for this spot (Bama, Cliche, Moose, Dape...I could go on, but won't), yet I made this team. And because of some impressive matches during the preliminaries, I had indeed made a new name for myself. I wasn't "IROK the Legends game mod", but rather "IROK, the Legender on the FPS Turtle Team".

To every member of the FPS Turtle Team, whether you held the tag below an account name during this tournament, or were one of my many peers in the prelims, it was truly an honor to fight alongside each and every one of you.

And so, I'd like to thank a few people individually.

meat.eater - the overall host of this tournament. You put in hour after hour and put up with a lot of crap to run this tournament. You were also one of the few people that wasn't ignorant against me because of my home server. Your work on this tournament is greatly appreciated.

Elemental - you too were a host of this tournament. As I recall, you handed my ass to me in a Legends turt match. You too put in countless time and effort to have this tournament run smoothly. From everyone that was involved in this tournament, I thank you.

Magician - Maggy...what can I say? You were one of the only people that always believed in me, when my luck was down, I needed some extra training, or just a kind word. You are more than just my captain...you are a friend.

AlabamaBoy - Bama, to you I extend the most praise and appreciation. If it was not for you, I might not have even have had the chance to play in this tournament. You were always a good fight, and I hope you will continue to remain so. I want my revenge for that flawless you got against me :)

I truly wish I could have gotten to know the rest of the team a bit better then I did. Darkfire, you are an amazing turtler, and a great person overall. Allstar...you're from Hamilton, you automatically pwn. Fire, I never got the privilege of a match, so you better play me sometime. AU...I underestimated you coming into this tournament, yet you proved yourself with some outstanding matches. Deep...play your damn matches. Frylock, you were always a calm, collected voice, even when your temper seemed to be running thin, and you too believed in me, even when you didn't believe in yourself. Monkus, I wish I could have seen you online more, but you have my AIM now, so I'll see you on that. Blud, I'm glad you came back for this tournament, as you were always a friend to me, and a rival. Draq, cheer up man. You had some bad luck, but you are still one of the best turtlers I've ever played, and I've never seen anyone able to use the furgon as well as you can. Hool, I know that, like me, you didn't play your best in this tournament, but you are a good player, and I look forward to that rematch you promised me. Wack...honestly, I got nothing to say besides thank you. You were the one that got me out of a terrible slump and retaught me how to have fun again.

To the Legends Turtle Team. I know each and every one of you from my time at Legends, and where once we were allies, we found each other as enemies during this tournament. Even though my final record may be 2-7, I feel I won more than this tournament could ever offer me by coming here. I do not regret coming to FPS to play against you rather than alongside you. It's not all about numbers beside my name or a win/loss ratio in a tournament. It's about the people around you, and having fun. I couldn't have gotten anything better from either of those had I stayed on Legends.

Thoughts? I beleive I have the win, but I am not against playing it out. I also refuse to take the win based on just the fact he d/c'ed. I will either play it out, or have him agree that I was going to win. I don't care who thinks who has the advantage(well, I am a little curious), but that will not change my mind. I only care about what he thinks. Unless of course he demands we start over, which I will not agree to, because that would be giving up what I beleive is a huge advantage.

Had it blocked, he would have had unstoned mud (1), scout (1) and dragon (40) against my dragon (18, 2 recovery), scout (full and stoned) and wisp (full), with his stone on 8HP and away from the dragon. I think I would have won even had the scout blocked, but we'll never know.

Overall the blocking then was rather even, because although he had more chance of hitting the knight side attack, if my attack had hit first he wouldn't have had the chance, and the other blocks were either irrelevant or fair on both sides. Mag played each individual move really well but I never got the feeling he had a gameplan for how to come after me, and his wisp and scout moves early on put him in a very dangerous position (which is easy to do if you're used to 2 scouts), although I made one or two minor errors as well. I enjoyed the majority of the game except the blocks in the middle, and I hope he did too. Always a pleasure to play you, Mag, well done.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. In the screenshot, my units are dragon 18 (2 recovery), scout full (just killed poisoned 1HP scout from side), stone 53, wisp full and no recovery. His are mud 1HP (no recovery), dragon 40 (no recovery), stone 8 (no recovery). Depsite my wisp having poisoned pretty much every unit he had on the board at one stage or another, it hadn't been attacked all game. :p

No, we probably wont. With the new games played the score is 128 - 120. With Deepsea dropping out, that is 6 wins for Legends making it 134 - 120.

At 134 - 120, even if Legends loses every game, they will still reach 141 before FPS does.

Legends has won this tournament. It was a fantastic tournament, very few problems (but, i can never have my cake and eat it too). I thank you all for that. But I'm not going to extend the tournament because several people decided they wanted to be inactive. We knew there would be a couple of those, and they will be treated just as I said they would be.

Blud, we have 140 games to play (14 players with 10 games each) so assuming we had been dead level the whole way (70 wins, 70 losses) the final score would be 210-210.

BASIC RULES.

1. Location / Starting
1a. The tournament is to be held on the Revelations Server. All games must be played there.
1b. All games are to be played with the predetermined temporary gold accounts to prevent questioning as to the person playing the game.
1c. Any games not played on Revelations and with the temporary accounts will not count, except under extreme circumstances that must be cleared by myself first.
1d. The Tournament is to begin the first week of April and last 30 days. All games are to be played in the 30 day period. Games that are not played within 30 days will be acivity judged by the host to award an "activity win," or a "draw."

There's a 30-day time for games. That means the tournament doesn't end until sometime tomorrow, as right now it is May 6th.

Also, will there be any "activity wins" for the "games that are not played within 30 days"?

Also, I believe the Score is 123-116, including only games completely decided. The AU-SpitFire game which was a disconnect wasn't finished, but since it probably was AU's win, that would make it 124-118. I can prove it further if you want me to, but it would take hours.

I agree with ending the tournament now. Yes, there are still active players, but exams are now coming up and few people will be able to get a match in with them. Not only that, the same people are active now, and yet they still cannot find each other in game.

2) For the people that have been more active.
3) With Deepsea's dropping out, it has become pretty conclusive. But, as I told Bottle, both captains approach me by tomorrow claiming their teams want to extend it, I will not argue it. However, just remember that the longer a tournament goes, the worse it becomes. People lose interest, not gain it. My experienced opinion on the matter is that the tournament needs to end tomorrow.
4) I personally went through all the scoring sheet. The numbers are accurate. Unless there are games on there that literally didnt happen, my scores are correct.
