hello all this is my first cau attempt, but i am finaly going to try. i wanted to make something completely diffrent from all units. i thought of a spearmen thinking of the units made allready there all olden time maybe 12 centuary, and thats when the spear's were big so i thought i would completely do something diffrent again.
hp-45
armor-12
range- 5 space diaognal one to the front
power-20
blocking-40-20
movment-4
recover-2
special-the spearmen takes 12 hp away from its self to add attack power to 25 and increases range by 2 spaces.
if this unit is over powered the health down to 35 work's better?
It looks very scout-like. What's 5 spaces diagonal? Is it a really weird pattern that will give turtles one more thing to block, in addition to the two spaces for the GA, blocking LOS and putting a unit in front of the cleric?
It looks to me like it might be a total of 10 range...

...see how it gives more spice to the game, it makes people rethink formations with a completely new unit. i like it my self though lol and the diagonal is what i said a new weird unit.

...think it wouldbe decent if the movement andrange was decreased by one?
Formations should be able to defend... there shouldn't be all that many super ranged attacks. The scout is plenty.
Reduce the range to less than 3 tiles diagonal... maybe 2. Diagonal is an interesting pattern, but it shouldn't get out of hand.

ah probly a first time thing. diagonal is the only new thing thats hasnt been done that i think, isnt over used, been done (ithink), and reasonable.

Diagonal has been done a few times, and shot down before in overpowered cases like this. What you must realize is that one step diagonally is actually two tiles away, so this unit has 10 range with an odd penalty.
