But still, this would be massively overpowered. The majority of the time you heal, you are mainly healing a specific unit anyway.

Nah man.... The Cleric was designed to heal all of his teammates equally so that the opponent is forced to focus his damage on one unit at a time rather than spreading it (spreading it is good to do when the Cleric is dead). This ablity would eliminate that purpose, make the game a lot more confusing, and a unit like a Mud Golem in an opponent's base with about 10hp, would get 2 more quakes. It would make the Cleric and the game itself unbalanced. Sorry.
