This is a teleportation concept unit.

Name: Hyper Space Ward
Hit Points: 35
Blocking 100% all sides
Attack: Creates Hyper Space Tiles
Range: 2 squares
Wait: 2
Movement: 0

The Ward itself is a Static Hyper Space Hub for allied units only. Allied units can use the ward as if the ward was a Hyper Space Tile. Allied units can use the Ward to teleport to any of the Hyper Space Tiles on the board.

The Hyper Space Tiles can be used by either the allied units or the enemy units. The Hyper Space Tiles are interconnected which means a unit can start a move on one Hyper Space Tile and than continue to move from another Hyper Space Tile. Hyper Space Tiles count as -1 squares when moved across. The Hyper Space Tiles are destroyed in 1 hit. If an enemy has a Hyper Space Ward he can teleport to any of the Hyper Space Tiles on the board no matter who made the tile. Units can not stand on Hyper Space Tiles.

Special:
Reflect: If 2 Hyper Space Wards are used and they are placed in symmetrical positions you can switch all allied units on the allied side of the board to the opposite side of the allied side of the board. The Hyper Space Ward used to make the switch then blows up causing 0 damage. This can turn a same side turtle into an opposite side turtle minus 1 unit.

Some examples

W = Allied Hyper Space Ward
H = Hyper Space Tile
A = Allied unit with 2 movement range
E = Enemy unit with 2 movement range
X = In movement range
X white = Not in movement range

Too complicated, people would be frusterated learning all the ins & outs of this unit.

It wasn't my original idea to make it complicated.

I just couldn't figue out how to balance it without making the ward a for friendlies only Hyper Space Hub.

Thanks for the input.

And to think too complicated is my common critisism for your units AlabamaBoy

I didn't really get your examples, and can't the hyper space tiles only be made withing the 2 square range of the hyper space ward?

Yes but Hyper Space Wards can be used by the enemy and you can use their created Hyper Space Tiles just not their Hyper Space Ward. Also just like a Furgon just becuase the ward is gone dosen't mean the Hyper Space Tiles it created are gone also.

Yes, but my units have a flow.

And we are not discussing mine are we?

I think you are being too defensive.

Good idea but difficult to operate.

Teleportation is a bad concept in general, although you implement it decently.

But I don't see how this would be useful. You can make tiles around you ward, so you extend range, but enemies can use those too, so by creating a tile, you invite enemy units to attack. So an opp sides Dragon can suddenly teleport to your turtle, blast a unit, wait, and teleport back through their HUB. You can't chase him because you can't use their HUB. Instead, to prevent the Dragon from running away, you attack your own tile. In the meantime, the rest of the opponent's army comes pouring in.

good point Azer

Have you an idea as to how to better impliment? Maybe makeing the tiles work for only one side would make it more functional with-out making it overpowered?

If Tactics Arena Online does not gain a new unit or at least a new unit in the news in 1 month I'm dropping my gold membership. This game has been rigid since January 2006 which means everything that can be done with the units now available has already been done.

Thats why Mith is always on a crusade to find a new form of gameplay.

Maybe tryout the "golem match" style.
