The TAO Bill of Rights - Answers to "Can I...?" Questions

I have noticed a lot of "Can I..?" questions from noobs. So...I wrote the following.

But one more thing, you should really look here (http://www.tacticsarena.com/forum/announcement.php?f=4) before you read this. That link is to the forum rules. READ 'EM. LOVE 'EM. LIVE 'EM.

The TAO Bill of Rights.

1. YOU MAY swear, curse and cuss within reason. Use of any racial or sexual slurs (Such as <censored>, <censored>, and <censored>) are prohibited, as well as the <censored> word. <censored> is allowed on the forums, but NOT in the game. <censored> is also allowed on the forums, but will be censored in the game. <censored> is allowed on the forums (but should be used appropriately,) but not in the game. "<censored>, <censored>, and <censored>” are allowed anywhere.

2. YOU MAY NOT trade units. This will NEVER EVER happen. PLEASE, DO NOT suggest it.

3. YOU MAY NOT cyber. Cybering is the action of having sexual intercourse over the internet. It is highly prohibited and you will be banned for doing so.

5. YOU MAY make your own clan. However, this also requires upgradidng, which can be done here. (http://www.tacticsarena.com/gold/upgrade.php)

6. YOU MAY post replies, and create new threads. HOWEVER, threads or posts containing racism, sexism, or spam (pointless text) will NOT be tolerated. Any one of those injustices will result in a temp. band, and possibly a permanant ban.

8. YOU MAY NOT advertise. Doing so will result in a ban.

9. YOU MAY give reputation. Simply click the balance in the username box, and choose negative or positive. There is one exception, if you are under 50 posts (like myself,) your rep does not count. Sorry :(.

10. YOU MAY NOT speak in green! Green-speakers are moderators, part of the tactics arena staff. They should be treated with the utmost respect.

If you all say it's spam, how can you prove it? I searched "TAO Bill of Rights" "Rights" and even "Rules." I found "rule" threads devoted to the Forums such as Duffman's (Which I even told all of you to look at,) and "rule" threads devoted to the game. Any day I am online and I see a noob, they 99% of the time ask something that the answer was listed in my post. Admittedly, there have been thread's such as Duffman's and Deepsea's on how to do things, or certain rules, but I have never seen anything like what I posted. I think this thread could seriously help some newbies. Another thing, It's not like a million of these threads have been made, a trading units thread would be spam.

I consider myself to be a good person. Trying to help people should not be a crime.

One last note. I have been here longer than you think. "meet the fudgers" is my other account. It's been here almost two years. It's not like I am just someone new...

That was in General Discussion, I searched NB.

Look! Almost everyone there thought it was a good idea! I basically took F_A's idea and expanded it. Mind you, there were some things in F_A's that weren't in mine and vice-versa, but c'mon, you can't say it was a terrible idea. (Especially you people who said it was good there but not here. :dry: )

I just looked again, and noticed that half of these aren't "rights", meaning what you CAN do. They state what you cannot do. So why not just title it.. "TAO Rights and Regulations." And KBH was right, you should stay a while before making threads like these... Nice try though. :rolleyes:

meat even censored the ones we're allowed to say. I mean, sure, I used some prohibited words as an example, but censoring anything PG-13 and under is...just...wrong. I was going to say something else, but, I've said enough today I think. But, a question: If you're going to censor a word such as "damn" for one person, why not for another? I see it used all the time here. It's really just...not fair.


I'll probably get banned for trolling or something...

But...

I just don't care anymore...I came back to TAO with a smile on my face, and now 2 sour threads, and I'm just...screwed.
