how long do I have to wait for this Draquist guy to show up ? I've sent him 3 pm's, with times and he never replies. He doesnt show up...... so whats the deal, am I still going to fight him or what ? Mith can you please sort this out / contact him ? I have no idea where this guy is.

I'm afraid the next round of DQs are for game 3 and your game with Draq is a game 4. You'll have to wait another nine days.

If you are -8, that would be 11:00 AM, which doesn't seem all that convenient. Perhaps I can play around 8:00 PM or so too, which is 5:00 PM for you. Tell me which you prefer,

Your idiocy doesn't bother me. It's obvious that Legend Z should be DQed. He never sent a PM. The only possible means of getting the game in that Junier had was looking for him on MSN. That, son, is ridiculous. Read the first post on the first round thread. I made it very clear what must be done to avoid DQs. Not EVER sending good PMs, much less posting on the forum at all, and not giving ANY means of contact WHATSOEVER for five days (when you only have seven to work with) is not the way to avoid a DQ. If you think for one second that Junier deserves a DQ, you're an idiot as far as I'm concerned.

I found it really sad that junier took the easy way out, he knew if the game wasn't played on time he will advance by DQ. They were both online on messenger he didn't bother to answer legend z. That's just my opinion.

Be careful before you throw around accusations of him avoiding the game. He could have been afk. You can sub in for Du but you have to use his leftover units and not trade in a chanty for a pyro. Whoever plays Match needs to use the units Du said he'd use. It is still a tag team tournament and that game 4 is still relevant.

It is okay for Match to play whichever of you he sees first, if he's okay with it. I could understand his perspective in wanting to practice for a particular playing style or something but on that point, I'm okay with just whichever one works out easier IF he's okay with it.

Think of it in terms of the fourth game having taken place before getting to the fifth game. If you're looking at it in a pure tag team sense, the units that should be played against Match should be the units used to finish off CP's units.

That just refers to what was the most common ten dropless units players used. Never mind. "No pyro" is more accurate.

um i have a question ... cant a player sub out to be used later? like say someone wins with 4 units left, then they sub to their second person in the lineup so that game 2 is a 10 vr 10 game. then when needed the person that won with 4 can sub back in whenever necesary? That is still tag team they are just tagging out sooner than expected.
This is a fair question but no. Essence of tag team? Perhaps, but totally against traditional tag team rules for TAO.

Would you have complained if the someone else but the tournament's director did what we just did? Because lets objectively analyse what we have just done.

Mith was thrilled Noda said yes to substitute for Mich because we were looking for a sub and Noda is of course a top notch choice. However, and I say this will all due respect for Noda, seeing his activity with the FPS Grey Tournament AND our own activity, or lack thereof, we needed someone more active. So when Realist responded to my PM - we messaged multiple people at the same time - saying he was more than willing to be on the team, we were in a tough spot.

Mith, because he already said yes to Noda and announced it in the thread, discussed it with Noda and he agreed that Realist wouldn't be a bad pick because of said reasons.

This is perfectly fine because we haven't played ONE game yet, so we officially didn't substitute anyone. Hell, even our opponents are yet to be determined. We planned to sub Noda, but in the end we decided otherwise.

We broke no rules, Mith is not playing favorites. You're all just scared we'll kick your newbie little ass.

And we will, so you should be. But don't go blaming our victory, everybody knew from the beginning we would win this, on our new substitute.

It's truely lame.

I am usually on around 8pm-10pm during the week. If the game has to be played on the weekend it would have to be early saturday because I have grad parties to attend... and sunday I won't be able to play because I will be too hung over (hopefully)

In the interest of avoiding confusion and other unnecessary misunderstandings, I am going to suggest to you a time zone rather than you just telling me where you live. I do not know where Ohio is and I think it is a bit unfair for me to go dig up what time zone it is in and convert it into my time. We will then therefore use a commonly used time zone: EASTERN.

I hope it is convenient for you to to play around 9-10 PM Eastern sometime during the week. PM me back if you have any time conflicts or exams as you say you are approaching graduation. We will then take it from there.

I just realized there is an upcoming problem with the tournament's current schedule. This is the way it currently is, with each date being a Sunday and being the beginning of each specified round and game.

Round 3, Game 1: June 24
Round 3, Game 2: July 1
Round 3, Game 3: July 8
Round 3, Game 4: July 15
Round 3, Game 5: July 22
Finals, Game 1: July 29
Finals, Extra week: August 5
Finals, Game 2: August 12
Finals, Game 3: August 19
Finals, Extra week: August 26
Finals, Game 4: September 2
Finals, Game 5: September 9
Declaration of Winners: September 16

The problem is with the two bolded weeks. I hadn't thought about them in relation to this tournament but with the whole FPS thing, I have been conscious of how they will limit my availability. During these bolded weeks, I will not be available to do anything with TAO, unfortunately non-negotiably. Now, if my team makes the finals, I can play around my scheduling issues, that's what subs are for. But I don't want to have to hand my tournament over to someone else during two weeks of the finals of a tournament I have put so much into, and I can't run this tournament during those two weeks. In my experience in running tournaments, brutal controversies can come up at any moment (look at the wonderful Wolfman/Ragnarth incident) and I don't want to be unavailable during a rough controversy. So it's a tough decision but I'm going to have to put a three week break between the third round and the finals. The NEW schedule for the tournament is as follows:

Round 3, Game 1: June 24
Round 3, Game 2: July 1
Round 3, Game 3: July 8

I hope for Zarainamation's sake that dabooz will play his game because Zarainamation can't replace him, having already replaced rainblade. Otherwise it will probably be an easy third round for TAO Panama.

I talked to Match before I left for the weekend, and he was confident he would be able to play. We have until Sunday, correct? If I have not heard from Match by tomorrow, I will officially sub Dj.

i spoke with dabooz .... he is going to finish up this tourney just for our team. I am sorry to see him retire but i am sure he will find free time somewhere to grace us with his presence some time down the road.

This is really getting frustrating. I thought Match and Bax were supposed to play the other night? And then the next day, and the next day. I know Match was on yesterday evening for a while, and I hope he can get on this evening. I hope Bax makes every effort to be on this evening as well, so that this game can be played.

Also, Bax, is it possible for you to turn invisible mode off for the length of this tourney? It would make it a helluva lot easier to find you.

Invis mode is off. Whenever i'm on I look for Match's name on the forum, I never see it.

I've logged in and off every night for the last few nights. I stay anywhere from over an hour to 15 mins hoping to see match on.

I should be on now for around an hour.

I'll probably be back 9:30-10:00 EST tonight and be on for some time after that.

Wow, that was a tough one. GG man.

Sorry team. Very odd situation. It came down to my lightning ward, assassin, two knights, chant and cleric, vs him with the same units plus barrier ward. There was a lot of ass-bomb and chant maneuvering toward the end, and he out maneuvered me.

Match and I just played a great game.

My DMW blocked a front hit with + blocking which ultimately allowed me to sacrifice it for his scout. He got one of my knights with his chanty. I sacrificed my scout for a BW (A stupid move on my part).

It came down to my LW BW cleric, 2 knights, and ass bomb vs. the same on his side minus the BW.

I moved in slowly, ended up paralyzing his LW, knight, and ass. Moved in knight to kill the ass. He moved in his chanty and froze his LW, knight, my chanty and knight. I ass bombed his chanty and knight, and then it was all over.

Good game Match.
