We are not picking your team for you, and personally I like IROK and voted for him being forgiven for what he did over the mod password issue. But the fact is that IROK has an 8 month ban on Legends and if the tournament is held there then he will be expected to respect that ban. In fact, he voted for the ban himself at the time.

You really need to get on the same page as bludhoundz on this before you post things in public if you really are helping to run the FPS tryout tournament. We have both already agreed that the ban has to be respected.

and posting on legends forums should not be ABSOLUTLEY neccissary, the thing that should matter most is playing the games.

In my usual agressive style, I forced the offensive, trading assasin for damaged assasin/chanty. He also damaged my knight in this exchange, down to about 20. However, I opened a huge gap in his form, managed to kill his knight for my knight, along with his assasin. He continually beat down on my scout, but was never able to kill it. Over all it was a good game, I just prevented him from counterattacking by forcing his scout back at one point.

It started out, both of us being agressors, I dropped back and damaged his knight while putting a knight out to threaten his scout. His scout blocked a key knight his which would have forced his scout to flee, and which allowed him to take the offensive. I traded chanty for assasin, then cleric for knight. I then took a 28% shot to kill his scout, which he blocked. I then went on the offensive, getting his chanty and witch for assasin/knight. He then got back to back 50% shots on my scout, hitting both would kill, and I blocked the second one. I retreated, and I managed to trade a knight for a 50% shot killing his scout. Then he attacked with both his knights, getting a knight side block which let him kill my scout for his knight, instead of me just getting his knight. I then preceded to get a key witch front block, while I killed his bw and cleric, and he killed my witch. Giving us 27 knight vs. 37 knight, I retreated to my lw, blocking his one attack on the way. He wisely decided to draw from there.

Luck was fairly even, with both of us getting key blocks and key hits. Selekthar played very solid.

It was a really fun game. It started off well enough, he went on the quick attack. He killed my DMW, I killed his scout and so on.

But after my assassin blocked two side shots in a row, and I hit 3 side shots on this assassin in a row, it just got one sided.

The luck helped me win, although I believe I had an advantage either way.

As you see in the screenshot i had the upper hand, i made this with gig, his knight in coloum of chanty might be back one. My assassin was on 2 with +30-40 blocking, All units in s/s have no wait on them. I would have simply move knights with chanty, and won the game. I beleive I had it easily, yet he will not set it back up because he knows i had the game. Simple as that.

Well, I think that we're only getting 1 side of the story here...and Geoff is notorious for overreaction. But nonetheless, SelekThar's lobby behavior does seem inappropriate. I would have liked to see what Geoff was saying back to Selek.

As for the game - why should Selek reset that? The 30-turn-draw is the same principle as the dragon (3-turn, no-move) draw. It's up to you to know the game parameters and craft strategy accordingly.

Getting pissy because someone won't reset from a valid draw game is pretty stupid. Next time, get your attack in gear faster, or put a knight in LW range so it gets zapped and resets the 30-turn count.

But there's absolutely NO reason for him to reset. It's just the same as if you were playing gold, and someone forced a dragon draw. Next time, pay more attention to the turn count and organize your attack faster. Simple.

The fact that you think he should have reset does indeed "show something right there," but it may not be what you think. C'mon man, you're better than this.

Dont get so pissy about the games dude. That is a valid strategy in any game, and were in in the actual tourney vs Legends it would be fine to do that to sneak a draw. Game description: It was a pretty good game, with luck being entirely even. Cept his witch got a side block that basically made me laugh so hard I could have cryed (seeing how dabooz got a witch frontal the game before) But it didn't really effect the outcome, so I was happy.

He made a few mistakes, and I think its because he was on the phone... Thats what he said, and i have no reason not to believe him.

The only mistake I made was I, while trying to determine a good move, my timer ran out... At least I realized soon enough to *move* just not attack.
In the end though, it came down to 2 of his knights vs my knight, chanty, BW, and cleric.
He made a solid effort to get to my chanty, and not be frozen in the process. But when he made an attempt to put the fate of the game into a side block (of his 16hp knight) he accidentally made it face the wrong direction.

Giving me the win...
Either way I think I had it pretty good. Because the knight had negative blocking... and I still had BW.

This was a hell of a game where i was put under some serious pressure early on in the game and was forced to defend vigorously but a few good moves and i managed to turn this game around but was still left with a very tight ending which at one point came down to a few lucky blocks and i evntually managed ot finish the game nice game Stinkydog.

It was an interesting game. His set seemed to be engineered toward rushing, so I knew that I'd have to take the offense to have a good chance at winning. In the beginning, I was able to find some holes, so I snuck in and cleaned out most of his vital units (Cleric, Enchantress, Witch) before he could do much damage to me. After that, I just retreated and prepared to make another attack. After that, he surrendered. Good game, Ninai.

There were a couple screwy hits in the game, not sure exactly what it would've changed in the long-run had it gone the other way, but there were two very fortunate blocks for me in the game. At the start he attempted to get my scout by sacrificing a witch and most of a knight, & ended up failing to get the scout and then bringing in his assassin to back up his near-dead knight. He ended up taking my witch and my pyro while i took his knight witch & scout(that had come within lw+witch range in order to attempt a shot at my scout). He then set up his assassin for a bomb and barriered it, then attempted to go into my backfield with a knight to take out either my chanty scout or cleric, i'm not sure. I immediately lw'ed his only other knight bringing it to 10 health, and its back to my scout. He surrendered after that turn, Ninai should confirm.

Description: Center vs. MY side, I start off by charging a knight, threatening the flank, he attacks my knight, I get his knight down to 15, and he then charges in with a different knight to flank me. His scout isn't in a position where it can give complete support, being as it can't hit my chanty in one move. I take note of this, kill his knight. Then he charges in his assasin, and I block off path to cleric with scout. He takes my scout down to 3, I retreat scout to where he hit sassy with back shot, and heal. He retreats his sassy, pulls up scout. He kills my scout with a back shot, but in doing so I get his scout. I then go on the offensive, trading a knight/witch for witch/bw/cleric. Then he sets up assasin bomb, gets a knight. I set up assasin bomb, force him back, freeze his lw, bomb a knight. So it is pyro + knight vs. knight + chanty +cleric. It was pretty much a matter of hunting him down from there.

I don't know what happened here, I think he thought he had a set advantage, but I turned back his attack on my scout, and meanwhile, penetrated into his backfield and threatened a bunch of stuff. After I killed his scout with a non-modified front shot (it may have been -5 or something), it was pretty much over. Even if the scout had blocked, I think I would have won, but it would have been closer. Good game.

He started off pretty strong, making my wall flank collapse, but then he brought in his assassin for some reason instead of pummeling with his knights. Assassin had to retreat, and I witched it to death. My witch then blocked a side shot, but that shot was NOT a killing shot, and I was going to barrier her anyway. If he'd brought his scout to defocus the barrier, then I probably could have hacked it or paralyzed it. In any case, I went on the offensive, got into his backfield, he got frustrated and made a misclick. It was most likely over before that misclick, but that just hastened things along. Tough break, offline.

Summary: He used his middle form against my side turtle. We both played cautiously at the beginning, we eventually exchanged pyros. I didn't really want to go on the offensive, so I didn't. I let him attack me, and I picked off people as they came by. Later in the game I sacrificed my assassin for his witch. He killed my cleric for his scout. And it just went downhill for him since then.

It was a good game though, one of the most challenging i've had so far.

See the thing is that I am not very good at grey games...My style of play is to rush the opponent, kill the frosty and Cleric...then retreat and do damage coming back...I have a strategy I have developed that I have almost mastered that uses All my units as one Unit...When it comes to greying...I have been unable to develop a winning strategy.... I am too agressive when it comes to my scout and such b/c i am used to having 2 scouts....and sacrficing one of them for the cleric and frosty....As for the Freestlye tourny....I am sorry if it came across that I was goign to make the team with ease....What I ment was that I will have more of a chance making that team than the grey team...The reason i dropped out is so i can devote my time to getting my GL stats to 1500 and find a permant sponser b/c my sponsership is only for one month. And dont worry when the freestlye tourny comes I SWEAR I will not drop out of it if I am not doing so well....Go ahead and save this message.

Very long endgame. That was the best part, the best plays were made end game. I got his chanty and cleric, leaving him with a knight and assassin vs my cleric, knight, BW, and scout.

He left then... I feel kinda bad.

It was a tough same sides game with slayer, him having a formation advantage because given his witch and BW position he could take out my LW. But his first move surprised me, and he LWed my knight instead. My scout took a frontal so I healed and he burned my scout, I decided to leave my scout where it was, and witch both his knight and witch, I ended up getting both his witch and knight for my witch. I moved my knights off to the side, so I could flank him by going around. And after a lot of healing and moving my scout, I took another knight, and had sustained pressure. He said gg, and we called it game :)

Here is where †Dark Warrior† and I left off. Personally, I believe he is completely full of crap. The guy always says he has to go right as you get into a game with him or conveniently lags out as you gain the upper hand like I did in our game today. First, he made me play on Banff (when Rev would have been easier) and then saying he should "make me wait," which he did, after agreeing to play. Mind you, last night he "lagged out" as well (http://img514.imageshack.us/img514/5599/dwhv7.png). Finally, Dark decides to jump me. I gain an early lead and soon kill his cleric at the cost of my pyro, and putting the knight behind scout at thirty-two, sassy at thirty-one, and knight in front of his sassy at twenty-two (having the rest of my pieces, including scout, being full). It was on his turn and suddenly he "lags" out. My scout would have been free right after he moved so there was no way he could trap it with his chanty, let alone kill it (especially since my cleric was ready to heal). I take the screenshot and head back into the lobby, and there he is only thirty seconds later (but he had "clearly" lagged out). He then tells Bludz and I that he had one of those "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem" things pop up, which is completely fair since they have happened to me as well, yet one thing is wrong. When those problems occur, one cannot continue to type in the game, let alone move and is kicked from the arena. As seen in the screenshot, he is clearly telling me this virus thing has popped up while it has already happened, which is impossible to do and he had moved his knight to the side of my scout after the fact (hoping to get a back shot on his next turn, which he was on, but was blocked off by my knight). Dark Warrior clearly left the arena on his own and surprisingly, is now quitting the tourney. In addition to my encounter with him, the same has occurred with pils and powza. He is a scammer and idiot. Sadly, he still thought he was going to beat me :p. Bludz can confirm my story.

Comments: It was a pretty good game. I made sure i wouldn't be distracted and I played really well. He played really well too. I got a lucky shot on his scout which killed it, and practically gave me the win. Overall, we both played really well. I luered(sp?) him in with my pyro to kill one of his knights and he fell for it. After I killed that knight, he surrenderd. GG Pils.

It was a same side game, and Draquist was rather grumpy when I hit a scout frontal to kill his scout, which gave me the game. I said it wasn't lucky, while he said it was. He got more and more irate as the match went on, while I patiently tried to explain to him why it wasn't luck. Basicly, earlier in the game I had charged up my witch, on 2 occasions, if my witch blocked (10%/15%) it would have given me the game(*side note, if I hadn't killed his knight with a 60% side, it simply would have given me a 1 unit advantage.) I wasn't even screwed if I didn't hit the scout frontal, I could charge up my other knight, that he did not freeze, allowing me to pressure his chanty/scout. Him retreating his scout would allow me to attack his bw, which would allow me to unfreeze my knight/kill chanty. However, even though all this is true, I still probably wouldn't win, but I would not be 100% screwed, as he was when I killed his scout. So, basicly, a 40% shot deciding the game, me hitting the shot wins the game for me, me missing it probably loses it. Is me hitting it lucky? I do not beleive so, lucky is drawing runner runner inside straight flush cards to beat a 4 of a kind. Lucky is winning on back to back knight frontals. Lucky is not winning on a slightly less than even chance.

I'd like to close it with this, whether or not you beleive I got lucky, Draq should have won, not because of this, but because I made mistakes early on, which should have given him a unit advantage, instead of an even game. We both played subpar, and were both distracted.

summary: There is so much to say. No offense to the people i've already played, but you should all play more like Ele. It was not only the toughest game i've had in this tourney, but it was by far the toughest gave i've had in a long time. Even with my draw against AU, this game challenged me more and made me think a lot more (no offense AU). It was a true nail biter. I believe that Ele is making a battle report concerning our game, so I will let that speak for the rest of the summary.
