There's different styles to turtling. You picked the more agressive type players. Plus, you chose modern day people. The Vets are where the real skill is at kid. Cause half of them taught the people in that list :P

Yeah... The list would be larger than the 10 person limit, but some of those people should be replaced with vets. I take it you are mainly from Banff, because most of them on there are Banff people, while a lot come from GL.

I can turtle actually. Well about a 1400 skilled turtler nothing more though. Been turtling a bit on legends on some 1300 gold I have access to. But yeah turtle bores me, it takes too much effort to actually think about my moves, where as in grey I can normally get away with just moving without really thinking and still win.

You cant really pick out one "best" turtler. Different styles and units match up against people differently. For one, I know my style is weak to the wisp...god I hate that unit. Sneaky little bastard, always screwing over my shrub wall.

I'm a 1400ish turtler myself, but I'm pretty unknown, and I'm certainly not amazing, nowhere near as good as Magician. I do prefer turt over free, though, so maybe one of these days I'll really apply myself and get noticed!

It could be that Magician gets a lot of "best turtler" votes because he's well-liked. I certainly hear his name floating around enough, and I am proud to have been in a clan with him for a while. Popularity is nothing to be ashamed of!

Yeah, g0lem should be up there. He taught me the basics of Legends turtling, and helped develop aspects of my defensive game. Good guy, solid turtler. Should definitely be on the shortlist.

Agreed. Although I would like to see Cliche and LT on that list. LT is a little rusty, but he used to be a pretty solid turter. Cliche is pretty good.

Some people say there are more than only one best turtler, but the truth is, having played or being able to compare all turtlers mentioned in this thread. The truth is... the best turtle ever was the guy who played on carlos22... Gladiator. Undoubtedly.

Edit: I think that the two best FPS turtlers nowadays are Magician and as much as I hate to admit it because he is a real bigheaded prick, Punishment. They both have their strong and weak spots against each other, so I would consider them on the same level.

Though they would be at the same level as the greats such as Warcow or Tcbb if we take the age of TAO and current intelectual level of players into consideration. Divided by all factors. They would all be around the same level at their peak with one exception... Gladiator.

As much as I hate to say this, but I don't agree with LT and Cliche. They both are undoubtedly great turt players, but I don't see them on the same level as the rest I listed.

Glad and Tcbb should have been on my list as well. Glad would have made top 4 though.

No, Punishment is not a better freestyle player. His strength is turtle, he's told me numerous times.

I dunno. If you really think I belong up there, then Pun is at least close. His skill level in turt has always been pretty equal to mine. And now I think he's been improving, because he now can actually use a furgon in a turtle as well as just a power turt. That's what really made any kind of gap between us before: I was able to do both while he was only able to do one. I think he's bridged that gap, but I can't say for sure until I've gotten back into practice and played him.

Lol, Draq....I was talking more along the lines of who is the hardest for you to go against...I seriously didn't think that someone could pull out who's the best. For me, Draq, your the hardest turtler I've EVER faced...Last time we played you beat me by, what, 8 units? I was talking personal preference as to whom you think is the hardest to play/beat.

:( I beat Blud in, like, um... 1/3 or 2/5 of our turt games, and the ones I lost were all really close...

LT is a beast at support turtle, like in powza's useful unit tourney. He is probably the best at the style that I know of.

However, support turtles are almost obsolete these days :(
