We will be preforming some server upgrades over the next few days. During this time visitors to TAO may be playing on both the old and new server until the change is complete. Once the changes have gone though over the next couple of days everything should be back to normal. There were only like, 6 people in the lobby. Peoples accounts werent showing up when statted. Old mod account were. Current mods didnt exist.

Dirka's right, there will be no new unit right now. Basically they're just upgrading to a new server. As they move some accounts over, they will be on the new server the accounts that have not been moved yet, will be moved in the next few days.

Ya its wierd, I made a new grey this morning and it appears that its wiped. Then when i create a new account on Gl, there are no golds in the lobby, just a bunch of greys.

Very odd indeed. What happened to everyone's accounts? Which servers are being upgraded? What do they mean by upgrading? Making new ones, or just fixing the old ones? Is Rev being upgraded aswell? Do only golds get in the upgraded servers?

Umm, probably not. TAO is a business, and they need to provide their service to paying customers, or those paying customers will leave. Despite the common view that the staff is full of evil money-hoarding trolls, I imagine they will do something to make this right.

If the problem continues, or the accounts aren't restored properly, you can protest by canceling your golds. But since most of you are hopelessly addicted, TAO has the edge.

For the people who always complain about TAO needing a new unit, let me ask you this: Do you know how much time, work, and thought goes into creating a new unit? Think about that, and think about it real good. Sleep on it for a few nights, and then ask yourself what you would do if you were the person that had to create that unit.

I'll tell you what I would do...I'd take my damn time.

Personally, I enjoy the game just the way it is, and I don't see why a new unit should be introduced. TAO, at the moment, is the most balanced it has ever been, and I like it that way.

It took about two years for the Berserker to come out after the Wisp and Golem Ambusher. It hasn't been anywhere close to two years since the Berserker came out.
