Half Cleric Tourn!!!!!

I'm holding a half-cleric tourn on Rev in 15 minutes or so (9:10 EST)! If enough people show up, the winner will be rewarded with half a cleric.

Only game rule is no drops allowed. Single elimination. Just a normal, one night tourn, where the winner gets a half-cleric.

Wow, when I saw this I randomly decided to join up and have a ball. I was not expecting to win this thing, especially by having to beat four great players that I've never beaten before at freestyle (pun, IROK, slayer and syko). Cool. :)

Nah, you did good. Rush > Turt pretty much every single time is all, and I was rushing and you were legends turtling. You didn't get my stronger side but even still, I've tried and tried and tried and tried to figure out how to make turtles reliably stand up to rushes and I just don't think it can be done unless you're Draquist or some other insanely good player. And unfortunately for you, I've experimented enough with trying to make turtles work in freestyle that I know exactly how to screw them up when I'm rushing against one. You played it well though. You were only 1/3 in front hits on my scouts, if you'd gotten a lucky one it would have made it a tighter game.

You know what? I've used that form time and again in freestyle matches, including all my matches in that tournament. The only close match I had was against toledo, who played very well.

Beating rushes with turts is possible, and I've done it before.

In any event, the better player won. I'll settle for top 3 :)
