You guys will have the chance to play everyone in your group twice,however, i will not really penalize you if you can only get 18 games orsomthing like that between you and your partner. It will be best winning percentages that move on...and you must play at least 15 games between you and your partner. So, if someone goes 17-1 and someone goes 20-1, then 20-1 will move on before 17-1. However, someone who gets 15-1 will move on ahead of someone going 20-2, its a better percentage. The first round will go until July 15th, to account for all the games needing playing and all the people going on vacation.

You guys will post your wins here, and i will keep track of them. I will post who moves on at the end of round 1.

I forgot to s/s, but eye said he won't lie and admit that I won. Was a good good game. Got his scouts early by using my frosty which was covered by my furgon's shrubs. And from there, instead of going for the goals, I decided to kill off his units. He surrendered, but he was about to lose his furgon and knight. Leaving him only with one knight and a frost. And me with 3 knights, assassin, 1 scout, a furgon, and a frosty. Overall it was a good game, and eye is a pretty good player judging from our battle. But he did make some mistakes in his shrubbing, resulting in the trapping of his frost. But at that point the winner was apparent. Good Game eye.

No, you dont lose by violating rules but you could be d/qed if you break enough...and as for a prize, i tried to get meat.eater to give us something like a soccer ball avvy for the winner, but he said custom avvys were for mod-run tournies only, NO EXCEPTIONS. So as of right now it appears that you will get a userbar and bragging rights, unless someone has an idea as to what we could give as a prize.

I cant dq everyone though, so if none or only 1 team plays 15, then the 2nd can move on without 15 games. You still have a chance but not likely.

It was a really good game, he attacked early and decapitated my scout :( i got my knight it to do a bit of damage, then got my other scout past his line to get the last two goals(my assassin was coming in soon too).

He would have won if the not hitting goal posts rule wasnt in play though, it screwed his assassin :(

Well, what keeps a tourney going is usually a prize or userbar. Yes you get a userbar if you win, but its the TAO World Cup. Not really TAO skill, just a mini game. When people enter tourneys, they enter to win and make their name known. Some people enter tourneys to get userbars, others just enter mod controlled tourneys for the special avvy. But a tourney like this is bound to die, when HW asked me to sign up, I knew it would only be a matter of time before this would happen =\.

I think if you make a clear deadline for this round, post more frequently to keep it going, and make the next round one team vs another team(not round robin) you will have much more activity. I think many people saw the amount of games expected to be played and just didn't even bother. That, and you recruited a lot of people who shouldn't have been in this tourny to begin with.

Bleh. Edward, might as well disqualify Team Russia. I don't have the time to practice since I like TAO better than this :rolleyes: and once again, Syko has gone inactive. Your call, but I don't think keeping us will accomplish anything but wasting a spot for another team that wants to be in the second round. As I said, it's totally up to you though.
