I started out being extremely sporadic with my moves not really planning anything. jun then took advantage of the weakness dabooz and i found with the set and i couldnt do much to stop it. then i made huge errors trying to protect certain units that were going to die anyways instead of taking his units and untimately played like a complete nooberon (noob+moron). good luck dabooz. I don't like the idea of DQs in the semi-finals any more than anyone else does, believe me. It bugs the crap out of me. But I laid the rules out in the beginning and I have been very clear throughout that there will not be exceptions.

The closest thing to an exception will be the finals, where there will be seven weeks to play the games because it will be round robin, and thus could be a bit more demanding.

Wack's going to look for Hatchet, Hatchet says he's going to look for Wack, hopefully they'll run into each other. If they don't, no one can say I wasn't very clear about the rules and what it takes to avoid getting DQed. Frankly, I think Zoma should have brought in a sub a couple of days ago.

I wanted the round to be fair, and it was, we lost fair and square. But I could have effectively taken 20 units from them by just going to sleep, or not showing up at all that Sunday.

Thanks for taking advantage of that gift and playing your game HW, it really makes me feel good about my decision. For God's sake, if you can;t play your game make sure to get your sub in or something. Match had the flu the week of his game, (and with some cooperation from Bax) he was able to play before the deadline. I see that we could be in a great match with Mith's team, as opposed to a DQ-fest. Color me displeased.

Just so you know, we could have done the same thing to match for our last game, and taken the win without even playing, but we didn't either, so your comment is not unique to yourself. In fact, in the first round, I got my game in with Force of Fire on the last day, during a chance meeting (unplanned) and I happily played him to secure a fair and honest win.

I understand you are frustrated, rightly so. But your act of righteousness is not singular, it has been done by many players, even without your knowing. So lets get on the same page, shall we? Luck screwed on both parts. I got a lucky scout side block and an assasin sideblock that should have helped me win the game but he got a front hit on my 17 hp knight where I had my cleric and my BW ready on the next turn. He had his last chance to draw the game and he got it. He got a witch front block too which did not really matter.

So the result should have been draw, but since I got him down to a knight and cleric... (I had a LW, BW, Chanty, cleric he had a frozen knight and a cleric) I surrendered, becuase I do not have time to plan another game till the week ends. I guess Realist will kill a knight and a cleric. I surrendered strategically to make this round end faster.

I had a cleric and knight left, he had a chanty, cleric, and wards.

Oh man, this was a good one. So I was starting pretty defensive, and his scout was in a great position to pick at my witch, and I couldn't find the off turn to shoot the scout through the assassin, so he was pretty safe. He made an aggressive witch move with put me under pressure, but I chantied the oncoming knight and forced him to sacrifice his knight and witch for my witch and chanty. Not an ideal trade (a trade at all, in my situation).

So it was about mid-game now, it it looked pretty even. Just as I was about to take the offensive, he rushes in a low health knight and gets a frontal on my full health scout. I healed. He was smart to follow it up with an assassin hit, to draw the block, and he got it, so now my scout was at about -60 (or 70) and was hammered the next turn by his knight, and he then made a nice move to place it where it blocked my protection for cleric. I figured I could still win without the scout against the chanty (I have some experience in that area), so I protected cleric.

He decided to retreat after taking the scout (he was outnumbered). I chased, and killed the knight, and left his assassin on 28. He quickly set up a bomb, and I made a silly assassin move where I made it so that 3 of my units fit the assassin attack style. He gambled on a side block with his atomic assassin (normal blocking) and he got it, and as a result took my knight and assassin. Then... sh*t happened, and we tied after I frontaled (also normal blocking) his knight when it was on 5 health.

I made the "random request" because you were on and so was I so I thought we might be able to get the game in. I have always been on at the times I said I would be, except for Tuesday when I went to bed early because I was tired. Wednesday I was on until about 1 in the morning waiting to see if you would come on. My times have changed a little bit as the first times I sent were a rough guide. The times in my latest PM are more specific for the next few days because I now know more about what I'm getting up to this weekend. My scheduled times in my first PM were from Weds onwards and seeing it is only Thursday I fail to see how you can say I wasn't on? I was on all day Weds and I was on until about 630pm on Thurs, which I said I would be. And I'm now on again on Friday. I will be around until 330pm today then I have a short shift at work. I will be able to play after work at around 930pm until about 11pm. Which fits in with your earlier suggestion of playing anytime after 4pm your time. If it doesn't work for tonight then we can schedule an appropriate time for Sat or Sunday.

As if there isn't enough to be annoyed about, all freaking four of the team captains of the remaining teams are doing nothing to push their guys to play. And in the case of Worker and Teh Gray, they completely let their teams down. When you sign up to be a captain, that means you need to stay posted on what's going on and get your players to send good PMs and get those games in. If all the stupid captains hadn't dropped off the face of the earth, maybe this tournament wouldn't have turned into such a crappy anti-climax.

Sigh, I hope the final in a few weeks is better than this.

Good question. I remember when TB ran a three man tag tourney, it was the team that won with the most units leftover. I don't think this is a likely situation to occur, but if it did I think we'd have to run through it again. No worries though, because my team will beat both the other teams.:p
