Almost as odd as it sounds. Really.
So I live in Western Washington, and my mother in law has been at Boeing forever. She's been a project manager working on the 787 Dreamliner, and she invited me to go with her to the rollout celebration today. I thought that was pretty cool. It's kind of a big deal.
After we parked, we got in line to board one of the shuttle busses taking people to the hangar where the ceremony was taking place. As I sat down, I noticed a very strange person sitting a few rows in front of us. Then he turned his head.
It was the Catman. The guy who has undergone extensive surgery, tattooing and other procedures to make himself look like a cat. I'd seen him on a few documentaries and television specials, and I heard he lived on one of the San Juan Islands out here in the Puget Sound.
I asked him if he'd mind having his picture taken with me. He was all over it, as the picture shows.
I can't really describe how freaky looking he is up close. I hope this image gives you a good idea.
The Dreamliner ceremony was awesome. Tom Brokaw was the master of ceremonies, and they had live video feeds from Japan to South Carolina. They finally opened the doors and rolled out the plane. It was a pretty cool experience, and a pretty freaking wierd day.

He actually is a man, but I understand the confusion. He definitely appeared to have rather large, female breasts. Not really sure what that's all about, but I'm not even going to attempt to unravel the physical mystery that is Catman.
Compared to some of his other features, boobs are almost mild.

Not in the summer. I've been shaving my head every summer for the last 14 years. I love it.
And this way it won't be any big deal when I go totally bald. I'm all about planning ahead.

That is wacky. I'm surprised they would invite him to a big event like that. It never ceases to amaze me what lengths people will go to, to get others to pay attention to them - no matter that the attention is likely to be of the "look at the freak" variety. Anyway, enough about Tom Brokaw. I can't believe you actually met Catman! Sweet.

I'm not surprised he was very willing to take pictures with you though. Anyone whose attempts to look like that certainly loves the attention. Perhaps the better question is how he got the ceremony?

You know what? I found myself wondering that same thing. I had a few ideas.
Maybe he had those scale tattoos done before he started his cat transformation. Maybe he originally wanted to be Fishman, but changed his mind before he got too committed.
As weird as that sounds, the real reason is probably a lot weirder.
Who the hell knows?
Once you start asking questions about this guy, where do you stop?

Like, he tried to mold his body in a way so he could walk on all fours comfortably, but instead of that happening the bones he lost in the transformation are gone and all that remains is excess skin and muscle. That excess makes it look like boobs.
