Is there a prime time to be online to get a unit drop?

I just got out of another battle where my opponent had 2 clerics and i have 1 :(

I play a lot and i still never seem to catch those unit drops. Anyone notice any patterns or have any tips, if there even are any, on any specific times that there seem to be more drops??

any help or insight is greatly appreciated

Typically unit drops occur "about" once every four hours. There are 5 unit drops a day, and that's about it.

Check the "The Next Drop..." thread. They pinpointed a few key times which are reasonable for getting on TAO.

Drops are overated, not as much here as on Legends. Here, everything but 2 clerics and witches are worthless, except maybe an extra chanty. However, on legends, the only thing that can truly bridge a skill gap is 2 Frosts. I still win 50% of the time against 2 Frosts, but other than 2 Frosts(and golds), I've only lost one of my past 50 some games on Legends. Become good without drops before messing around with them.

The drops happen randomly i have been on for 8 hours and not seen one and i have seen them 20 minutes appart

I all ways just miss drops. Happened earlier, the only drop I needed on Army was a cleric drop. I get out of a game that I won, he left mid-game when I killed scout and took control, then as soon as I sign in after the disconnect (like 25 seconds at most) the cleric drop happens. I hate that soo much :(

I suppose I don't know for sure. Drops usually occur 5 times a day, according to Seed. That averages to every 4:48. That's all I know. I don't think the drop times are any different on FPS than Legends.
