A Challenge For Most Active Players

Hey, what's up guys. I was playing on GL today, and like any other day, found a million people playing on either secondary accounts or accounts that aren't theirs. Allow me to summarize my morning on Great Lakes:


I logged in and found a ton of leader accounts on. In fact, there were only leader accounts on if you exclude the greys (who I don't play, because I'm gold) and the golds who jump greys (and talk to noone). Rumpelstiltzkin is my main, and only account there. It has around 1460 stats at the moment, enough for anyone on their main account to win something. But no, people were hiding on other accounts because they fear their precious little number will drop.

I saw some kid on "Omega Leader". He claimed to have no other gold account. He had around 1100 stats, but meh, it was enough for me. He asked for a turtle game; I don't fare too well in turtle games, but I agreed because I wanted a game. Near the end of the game, he told me he really was "Morpheus". And sure enough, a minute after the game, I saw "Morpheus Ultra" in the lobby talking to people, refusing games of coarse (even though he was asking everyone for games on the leader account). He had about 1350 stats. I could understand he wanted to get his leader account's stats up, but he lied. Meh.

Then I saw "Arist fka High Heat". He had around 1350 stats. It was obvious he was "High Heat", a gold with around 1450 stats. But, I knew him well, and played him upon request. I was just a little disappointed to see even him start to play on other accounts. Keep in mind his other gold is still existant on the server.

Then we have people like Dres and a ton of other people who have access to approximately 9,467 accounts. They have their own accounts, but will never log on them. I was laughing when I saw Dres (I think he was on TE leader at the moment) and someone on HA Leader (I have an idea who he was, a high ranked gold) get out of a game. HA Leader was calling Dres a puss for not playing on his main account. But, the person on HA Leader was being pretty hypocritical, eh?



Heh, every gold half-way decent, or someone I'd like a game from seems to have some other account they play on. And, it has ridiculously low stats! It's aggravating to the few legit players these days. People, stats aren't meant to control your lives. They are there in order to form some kind of ranking system on the server. Many people aren't active enough, nor have enough skill to have their current statistics and be ranked. And you people know who you are.



So I say quit hiding and play the game. Play on your main account; quit hiding on leader accounts. Your precious rank means nothing unless you can back it up. I'm putting my number on the line, so do the same. Do that, or I won't leave you alone.


I'm fed up with all this stat-whoring crap. This is a friggin' game, guys. Noone cares outside of it. So let's play for the fun of it, not for recognition all the time. Sign here if you are tired of people hiding on other accounts while you can be identified as your true self. This is enough.

I agree with you, people should have the balls to play on their own account.

I know that some people never will stick to one account (Cuathon would find no fun in this game), but I hope you convert a few people.

Okay, say you are a 1500 gold. One day, you are sitting in the lobby and a 1400 asks you for a game. Naturally, you accept. Afterwards, you learn that this 1400 actually has an 1800 account on the same server. Would you be angry? I don't care about stats, but I would be angry that they were too afraid to play me on their primary account.

I guess the same goes for you GL guys playing me on my 1250ish SI Leader account. Yeah, I'm 1800 on another server, but I have no higher accounts on GL. I'd play with a 1700 if I could, but if nobody plays me, I will never get the chance to do so. I'm not saying you have to play me, that's unreasonable. But I am asking when you play me, and hopefully when you play others, if they use their primary, that you use yours.

True, I've been playing on Fatality alot recently, but I have been playing on Magician too. Check the rankings if you don't believe me. I aim to play at least one game a week on both of my accounts. Admittedly Fatality is getting more of the action as I'm testing out new forms on it, but I still use Mag. :)

As it stands, I will accept the challenge, though I know I have already completed it. :wink2:

all of this is true, and i do agree with you, but artist aka high heat, thats his only name, because his account high heat was lost in the server upgrade, and thats his temp gold...i am in the same situation

I'd sign up, but I still can't seem to figure out what my "main account" would be. I would say it's Nolund because it's the account used only by me, but then again, I got 90% of the stats on TEL (750-1420 are me, then the other leaders) and it is higher than Nolund.

I don't think anybody who has ever used a secondary even has the right to sign this but I don't see whats wrong with using a secondary.

I have access to MANY accounts as a lot of people know and I have no trouble gettings games. All these accounts I have raised to 1500+. I never get games from the high stat people that I get when I am on Dresicos but hell I don't care. I am sorry not many high stat people get on. Steve you got to remember a lot of the high stat people don't even play. ABK - Monkus - Crx - ARENA (I don't have proof of this but I haven't seen him play in ages on it, but he also plays Rev like no tomorow). Have you noticed steve that many of the golds on GL are actually like 1300-? There are many new golds and non of them have a main account of a higher stat.

I don't know about other servers but this is probably just temporary on GL until we get the few people who go above and beyond and actually start getting some high stats.

People say I don't play on Dres, but I do. I have even lost 30 stats to prove it!

Is playing on rev like playing on a secondary account? I think not.

I do not have a real problem with a secondary, unless I am on my primary. If I'm on my 1800 account on banff, and some 1400 asks me for a game, when in reality they are rated 1650, I will be angry. Not because I care about the stats (yet again), but because I'm pissed that they don't have the balls to put their shit down on the line when I will.

I understand the fun of raising other accounts, but as I'd understand it Dres, I don't think you would prefer to play Magician's account Fatality rather than his main, would you?

Yeah, i used to make secondary accounts to protect my stats, but i learned that stats aren't everything, so i don't use secondary accounts for that reason. I only use them to stay in touch with my different clans.

As far as this whole thing is concerned, you challenge me to a game, you get to choose what account I play you on, but if it's a 750 vs 1400 gold game, no I won't accept, because it's a waste of my time. If I can get something out of the deal, I have no problem playing someone.

And grey games will ALWAYS be redirected to my grey accounts :p

Yeah, there are so many times that I get on GL and there are like 5-10 golds on, and I'll proceed to challenge. There have been times when I challenge like 5 people in a row and can't get a game. It's flucking bullchit. I float around 11 to 1200 or so and I challenge anyone from 950 up to 1450, and there are many players in this range. At that point I'll usually switch to a grey set and let greys come and jump because I don't pay for this game to sit and wait for Golds to pull their heads out of their asses. Put your numbers on the board where they belong!

OAMM is one of the Fathers of stat-whoring, on my way up from 750 to 1200 on my Gold I challenged him about 5-6 times and he always laughed at me and said "get your stats up noob" and wouldn't play. Finally today he jumped me out of nowhere on Rev. and I had an Anti going and he had a turt. I proceeded to crush him and win by 5 or 6. :bigsmile: He left the arena without so much as a word. Like so many other whiny brats who play this game he said something to the effect of "Your lucky I didn't have my other set...blah blah blah". Whatever idiot, bite your tongue and give credit where credit is due. In the lobby I told him how it good it felt to destroy him in our first game ever after being insulted by him for so long. :p

I'm tired of these stuck up Golds who think their crap don't smell and wear their stats as if they were the sole foundation of their identity. I play one account myself.

And I do appreciate all of the Real players who challenge me and accept my challenges. Cheers. :)

Oh wait, I think they fixed that with the upgrade. When you are degolded you lose your gold units? I don't know.

But nontheless, people should play on the account they are on unless they WANT to play on another. I don't think the other player has a choice in the matter.

Pretend TAO didn't have a chat box. And you could only challenge and play. You realize how much more of a problem this secondary account thing would be? But we do, and people can tell you who they are (I don't do this myself, so yeah) if they want to. If they don't ya live and lose.

I'll go out on a limb here. Dres, I understand your argument. I've heard the same one from Cuathon several times.

You find fun in this game from raising new accounts. There are several reasons I'm against it, but I can understand it.

My question is, do you understand the other side of the argument? If you do, would you be so kind as to perhaps take into consideration our wishes, and once in a while (not always), abide by them?

Hey, what's up guys. I was playing on GL today, and like any other day, found a million people playing on either secondary accounts or accounts that aren't theirs. Allow me to summarize my morning on Great Lakes:


I logged in and found a ton of leader accounts on. In fact, there were only leader accounts on if you exclude the greys (who I don't play, because I'm gold) and the golds who jump greys (and talk to noone). Rumpelstiltzkin is my main, and only account there. It has around 1460 stats at the moment, enough for anyone on their main account to win something. But no, people were hiding on other accounts because they fear their precious little number will drop.

I saw some kid on "Omega Leader". He claimed to have no other gold account. He had around 1100 stats, but meh, it was enough for me. He asked for a turtle game; I don't fare too well in turtle games, but I agreed because I wanted a game. Near the end of the game, he told me he really was "Morpheus". And sure enough, a minute after the game, I saw "Morpheus Ultra" in the lobby talking to people, refusing games of coarse (even though he was asking everyone for games on the leader account). He had about 1350 stats. I could understand he wanted to get his leader account's stats up, but he lied. Meh.

Then I saw "Arist fka High Heat". He had around 1350 stats. It was obvious he was "High Heat", a gold with around 1450 stats. But, I knew him well, and played him upon request. I was just a little disappointed to see even him start to play on other accounts. Keep in mind his other gold is still existant on the server.

Then we have people like Dres and a ton of other people who have access to approximately 9,467 accounts. They have their own accounts, but will never log on them. I was laughing when I saw Dres (I think he was on TE leader at the moment) and someone on HA Leader (I have an idea who he was, a high ranked gold) get out of a game. HA Leader was calling Dres a puss for not playing on his main account. But, the person on HA Leader was being pretty hypocritical, eh?



Heh, every gold half-way decent, or someone I'd like a game from seems to have some other account they play on. And, it has ridiculously low stats! It's aggravating to the few legit players these days. People, stats aren't meant to control your lives. They are there in order to form some kind of ranking system on the server. Many people aren't active enough, nor have enough skill to have their current statistics and be ranked. And you people know who you are.



So I say quit hiding and play the game. Play on your main account; quit hiding on leader accounts. Your precious rank means nothing unless you can back it up. I'm putting my number on the line, so do the same. Do that, or I won't leave you alone.


I'm fed up with all this stat-whoring crap. This is a friggin' game, guys. Noone cares outside of it. So let's play for the fun of it, not for recognition all the time. Sign here if you are tired of people hiding on other accounts while you can be identified as your true self. This is enough.

Personally I think your right about the people being stats whores its really sickening kuz like you jump one accidently when you remake a grey you win they start telling everyone you hack and cheat i think its just sad its coming down to that. I know this thread is mostly about golds sharing accounts but greys do it for some reason too.

Plus i usually play anyone as long as i get one stat out of the deal, i still dont think its right for an 1500-1700 player to play people on a 1200 account (not talking about you Cuathon we have never played). I think its only fair that people play on accounts where the stats accurately represent their ability, so if you are a 1500+ player play on an account that shows your true colors.

I would say the same applies for me i play on this account all the time always ask for games it is 1350 so lots of stats can be won for golds.

But no, people are always on there low stat accounts. And want games, while on there highstat accounts they just decline. Untilll they have seen your set and no how to beat you then they finaly get on there good account.
